Just spun it yesterday!

FWIW there is a 5.1 DVD " LIVE IN MONTREAUX " of Van Morrison 1980/74 two concerts. The surround is poor, but WHAT A SUPER CONCERT performance.
The 1980 concert has Van with a group of incredible musicans , including Mark Isham.

Isham has a very haunting sound . If you've ever seen the Movie -Romeo Is Bleeding , that's him on the soundtrack.

I've owned it for a few years and love it, for the most part. VM also released the expanded Too Late to Stop Now set, including a concert DVD.
Only 2.0, but good performance and great historical document.

Toto-TOTO IV SACD..haven't listened to these songs for a long time...how can you go wrong with ES doing the surround mix and Darcy Proper mastering....if you don't have this title(very expensive)you can always get a "taste" of TOTO for an inexpensive price....good performance HERE

If I really need some Van...Moondance is the answer....when I don't need the full monty I put on The Last Waltz blu ray...seeing Van...in that setting.. at that time in his life...with all those other mega stars when they were young...is priceless..

He also makes an appearance (unseen) on the Ray Charles MC SACD via one song,"Crazy Love" . But yes I agree he's at the top of his game with THE BAND .in 76.

Go into the menu and under songs(songs II)and check out all those songs...just remember to skip the talking in between songs(skip chapters)...a TON of talent on that disc...I've always been amazed how clear the vocals are on that disc...and great separation...whew..I've got it on now...such a diverse group of artists...

Listening to now, with my 7 year old daughter, to Idina Menzel’s “Live Barefoot At The Symphony” mixed by, believe it or not — Elliot Scheiner”

The Last Waltz-I've always felt that Robbie Robertson has never received enough credit for his guitar skills...a lot of it stems from the style of music The Band played....watching him with Clapton doing "further up on the road"..good stuff...

NOW WATCHING VAN THE MAN belt out ..."turn up your radio"...whew..."turn it up".."turn it up"..

Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds Live at The Radio City Music Hall in Dolby True HD 5.1 from the Blu ray[i'm listening/watching to Crash Into Me now]
