I am in a Genesis phase right now. last night I listened to the concert footage on the Trick of the Tale DVD. Today I listened to and watched the concert footage on the Selling England BTP featuring Peter Gabriel and early Genesis material. Thisevening I threw on Genesis Video DVD Cinema Show in DTS 5.1. Sound is really excellent. If you don't have it, track it down along with Peter Gabriele's outstanding video collection DVD in 5.1. Outstanding job by Daniel Langlois with PG collection.

I think so too... maybe you could stop by the forum and vote on this one (it needs 10 votes to make it to the polls!)

I will surely do! Normally I tend to listen several times to a new disc before I vote. But in this case there's no doubt for me. A 10 it is!

Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds - SACD 5.1 + a matching jigsaw puzzle.

Moloko - Statues (SACD) good surround mix. Musically it's nothing that stays in my mind. But it doesn't hurt either.

Roxy Music - Avalon SACD... First time hearing this album ever... Wow, I'm really surprised to read some of the reviews of this mix in the forum... "extended stereo"?! Are you kidding me? "Nothing really jumps out at me... surround mix wise"... are you expecting to be physically hit in the head?! Lots of votes from 8-10, but even some 5-7s! Oh well...to me this mix is an active, discrete 10... and I'm actually enjoying this music that I never had an interest in before. Another great mix that has broadened my musical horizons(y)

Sometimes the votes don't match the comments from the voter.....the lowest voter on that poll said "buy with confidence"...but he gave it a 5....go figure....I don't want to start talking about the polls because some of these votes drive me crazy..and I don't want go down that rabbit hole again...in regards to Avalon...I voted a 10...it was a no brainer for me...if I had to describe the Avalon disc I would use the word "polished"...it is just so smooth...I guess some critics don't think the surround is aggressive enough...I think it's just right for the content...

Roger Waters - Amused to Death - Blu-ray LPCM 5.1
On the eve of leaving home for military training, I'm filled with mixed feelings.
I wish the world were a better place. I'll miss my family. The upcoming deployment.
This album has always been a favorite. It evokes so much. Life is nasty, brutish and short. Be kind to each other...

Let me publicly mention what a lot of us on here feel...mixed emotions...proud of you for your service...but selfishly wish you weren't going...you have been a HUGE asset to this forum...from day 1...I noticed your qualities early on...you have been able to bridge the gap between different age groups in a seamless manner...you have been candid without being abrasive...a quality usually not seen in someone your age ...especially when dealing with some of us that are set in our ways...and recently we have noticed your musical talent...very impressive...

I hope during your deployment you will be able to post on the forum...in any event...you will be missed.....be safe and of course...LIVE LONG AND PROSPER...

I second Clint's sentiments, EB. You are indeed one of a kind and not only thank you for your service but please DO find the time to drop us a post now and again.

I know you'll miss your family, especially your newborn and in these absolutely tumultuous times know that we'll all be thinking about you and your invaluable service to our country.

Thanks and to Clint too. Yeah, watching my little guy last night flipping over, pushing himself up, getting ready to crawl was bittersweet. He has do much life ahead of him! I'm at the airport and I already miss him (and my surround system), but I'll be home soon this time. Just a couple of weeks in MA. Looks like the weather will be nice, at least today.
And I'm nothing special around here! QQ is full of bend-over-backward-for-you people. I'm very proud to just be a part of that.
