I listened to Queen's Greatest Hits DVD yesterday and I was amazed. It is loaded with lots of great discrete surround songs. And it is only $5 used on Amazon. Quite a bargain.

Classic ELO cd in surround. Contains quad toonz fr both the first and 2nd albums. FWIW the 2nd album's quad mix was never fully released, making this disc with 2 tracks a Collector's must have .

Yes, the Immersion one is edited to have it "synched" to the Stereo, so it has a big chunk cut off from the original Quad mix!

I've never bothered with the 5.1 on the Immersion Blu-ray. Is it different to the SACD? I've always listened to the original quadraphonic mix.

ARS Produktion - Bach - Mendelssohn - Sabine Weyer (piano), Olga Pak (violin), Berliner Camerata.

True surround sound, a magnificent recording, some wonderful music. That Mendelssohn is incredible.

I bought it "used" from an Amazon seller in Germany. Took only a few days to reach me.

Highly recommended.

I don't know why but I sometimes prefer my DTS CD over the SACD of this.

Both are worthwhile having though. Bonus track on the SACD.

First time hearing this one...finally. Thanks to Ryan (RT) for selling me this. To my ears, it sounds great. Wonderful fidelity for an older title.

I can certainly understand that. The videos are all horrible. Totally 80s directors gone wild. Very grainy full of Freddy half naked. Not my cup of tea, but the music is sensational.

I have these two, too, the second recordings that got me into 5.1 music (A night at the opera DVD-A was the first). Great stuff that I would like to see re-issued on blu-ray (the video DVDs)
