Got all Folky last nite, so I started with.....

Donovan-Fairytale DVD A

"Summer Day Reflection Song " sounds pretty good for this label's attempt.(Silver line) A 1966 Album, btw.

Can't help but notice PYE Records missed the boat with their "4D " series . A shoulda/coulda QS opportunity ignored by that "MOR-ONLY" label.

Give credit to Siverline , though.(y)

Still kind of pricey as well... Which is too bad, considering American Beauty can be had for under $20. Probably because they did a dualdisc version.

It's on my list of OOP discs to track down someday

You could always make "obi one" an offer HERE.....make an offer HERE....all they can do is say no...just saying...this title is only going to get more expensive and harder to find as time goes on..

And the nite was ripe for a listen to Neil.

Neil Young-Harvest DVDA

cool overall performance , and I like James Taylor on the Banjo solo for "Old Man". And Neil and the Stray Gators on "Words "..

Yes-Fragile Blu Ray 2015 mix...I remember the first time I heard this 2015 mix...I just about lost my mind...having the previous mix and hearing this was like hearing it for the first time...one of the most dramatic improvements of an existing surround mix I have ever heard....I still feel that way as I listen to it...

Same here...I was SOOO disappointed with the first ...ehem.. SURROUND mix...

Pete Townsend - Deep End Live DVD = mixed bag of great and Ho-hum performances. David Gilmour and Simon Phillips are on hand, DTS mix vague and the show lighting not that good.

Been playing some matrix LPs this afternoon...I realized yesterday my Involve unit was wired for 5.1 without the center connected yesterday, so that would explain the rather muffled vocals, as they were being derived and routed to a disconnected channel! Was easy to rewire for 4.0 and we are all set.

CBAT is playing at the moment. One of my faves and easily one of the best decoding matrix LPs (and one of the only good popular QS discs). Definitely a good demo for the Involve decoding. Also, I was under the impression that the ABC Command QS LPs with the borders are harder to find than the ones with integrated quad cover art.

Peter Tosh - Legalize It SACD... because at midnight it will be legal here in California :yikes . This one seems to have a few discrete elements in the rear channels, but nowhere near as good as Bob Marley "Legend" (the gold Standard of Reggae in surround).

Super Furry Animals Love Kraft, SACD (PCM): This one has a nice retro feel and good use of the surrounds. I have no issue with the sound quality.

Scorpions - Moment of Glory SACD... Excellent mix and fidelity! In terms of content, first I was confused, then I hated it, and now... somehow this weird fusion of metal and classical is starting to work for me:mad:@:
