Ladysmith Black Mambazo - Long Walk to Freedom - SACD 5.1

Holy hellfire! Very discrete and very tastefully done! Singers in every channel. This far exceeds my hopes.
If you like these guys from Paul Simon's Graceland album (or from elsewhere) check this out.

Would love to hear your thoughts...this disc needs some more positive feedback I think

Those who don't dig this have better ears than I have. Or perhaps it's a matter of expectation.
I'm sure that if I A/Bed this to an SACD of the same title I'd prefer the SACD (I have A/Bed David Bowie's Reality in this way and prefer the SACD over the DD DualDisc).
Still, this is enjoyable. Thank you, thank you, thank you, you know who, that I'm listening to this.

Refused - The Shape Of Punk To Come. Highly recommended if you like aggressive music and mixes. This album doesn't fit easily into a genre, but it is most often loud, fast, and aggressive. There are also many moments of jazz, classical, folk, spoken word, and electronic music. The title is true; it was way ahead of time in 1998. This disc is easy to find for cheap, and IMO it's well worth taking a chance. Sample song: https://youtu.be/K8MkVIe9xGc

I am surprised that this DVD/cd package gets no respect here. Carole King, James Taylor Live at the Troubadour. The DVD is a live best-of of these two great artists in DTS 5.1. Surround sound. I consider the SQ to be superb. The video too is excellent.

Glad you like it!...I bet your mom would like this one:)...yes high expectations are one reason..and pre conceived ideas are another...Dolby Digital is the latest "poison pill"..despite the fact that there are many excellent DD releases...or it's not 24/96..or the waveforms are not good..or this or that..yada yada yada... actual listening seems to fall way down the evaluation list...if you have to A/B something to see if one version is better...then it must be pretty good...I don't think most reasonable people expect any demo disc from this title...as far as the metric oriented crowd...haters gonna hate:)

Diana Krall - The Girl in the Other Room - DualDisc 48/24 MLP 5.1

I was gonna lose my unholy shit if this MF was DD!!! Hahahaha @::mad:@::mad:@::mad:@::mad:@:.@:

Think of it this way...if your stove isn't working...blame DD...car won't start...blame DD....too cold outside...blame DD..it's the swiss ARMY knife of excuses:ugham:..you sure are making the most of your remaining time on the forum...are you going to be able to check out the forum at all when you deploy...I mean even a war torn country has the internet...just saying....you will be missed dude(y)
