It's a great mix and surround for a 1969 release I think . I classify it as a "Miles " meets "Mahavishnu Orch." Jazzy sound .

Got this in the post yesterday .

Overall it has a nice Quad sound quality for a 72 era release , new quad mix by David Singleton 2017 the same chap that quad mixed Crimson's "Argentina ".
It's live quad , but live in the Studio ! Smaller venues always sound better for my taste.
The song "Groon" is especially well performed , crazy sax solo. Too bad they all went their separate ways after this tour.

I love everything up to Playing The Angel. I still have the deluxe box version of Sounds Of The Universe sitting here unopened. I purchased it to get the album in 5.1 but will probably sell it after hearing track samples.

I'm not a natural DM listener, heard it around in my youth but didn't follow up. Once I got surrounded however things changed, for the better. I now have the Speak & Spell, Black Celebration, Violator, Ultra, Exciter and Sounds of the Universe () DTS discs. I might need more.

Listening now to Audio Fidelity's Billy Cobham Spectrum 4.0 at a respectable 55db. Might as listen to the damn disc's while I figure out how to rip the damn discs.

Ever since I got the APP Eye in the Sky Blu can't get the title track out of my mind, only cure is A Valid Path, Mammagamma 04 will do it for sure, I hope.

Yes, Gene, very successful using the Sonore for the stereo SACD's, now using the Sonore for the MCH SACD's only my 2nd one. You've done it before, it is not as easy as the ones who know say it is because they are in University and I am in kindergarten.

Forgot this arrived in mail 2 weeks ago, so far so good, DTS-HD MASTR 96Khz 5.1 surround at 60db.
