Steely Dan - Gaucho on SACD in 5.1. If someone asks what’s so great about multi channel music and could I show them in one song, it’s time to put this disc on and play Time Out Of Mind. The ‘tsssh’ of the cymbals, the kick drum and bass line, the horns in the surrounds... I don’t own much that was recorded and plays back as well as this one.

I agree with Clint. If you like the music, it’s worth getting at a reasonable price. The surround mix is pretty tame but the overall soundstage & fidelity are good.

Actually I'm more disappointed with Zeppelin's performance at this MSG Concert .
They have much better performances (and surround ) on " How The West Was One " and throughout the various Concert years on" DVD "(or Mothership ).

Here's a "Silverline " I picked up as I like the artist .

It's not great 5.1 but it is from 1965 , and does have plenty of surround bonus tracks . Original album was on PYE Records fwiw.

not had a chance to listen to any surround music for a wee bit sadly, so i thought why not dive in feet first with this Vocalion beauty!

so so gorgeous in surround.. exceptional multichannel mixes that to me rival just about anything of the 5.1 Scheiner/Wilson ilk.
