Tonight's spins start with,

Gentle Giant - The Power And The Glory. DTS DVD

I like this album musically and also enjoy the Isonics run of animation pictures. Great mix and video artwork on this.
now I kinda wish I'd gotten the blu-ray as well.

And then moving on to some QUADS.

Early ones at that., some chamber/rock .

Electric Light Orchestra -First Light. Quad DTS DVD

Worth noting the cd has the alternate mix (quad mix ), of " Nellie Takes Her Bow ". That track is my favourite of this album , 2nd would be "10538 Overture ".

Boy would it ever be nice to get some of the other two quad albums released !
I'm referring to ELO 2 , and Eldorado of course.

So c'mon Jeff , we need some more of these early superb albums and yes if you can also 5.1 renditions please. :)

I have most of these editions this one that you have is one of the better ones.

Any other Inside the Music releases you would recommend?

This is a strange one, in that it has the 'classic' Silverline big stereo mix with the vocals coming out of all speakers but certain instruments firmly planted all around like a quad disc. Overall, it's a good effect, a solid effort, and seems to get better as the disc goes on. While not reference, it does seem like someone cared when putting this together.

Dayum, buddy! What do you think about Tres Hombres?
Once I turn the sub up from -10 to 0 it's absolutely astounding! The most ballsy, full bodied quad mix I've ever heard, in a lot of ways. I honestly find ZZ Top to be a bit 'Good Ol' Boy' overall, but this old-timey quad mix is just amazing!

Edit: Hot, Blue & Righteous = Purple Rain?
