Listening to Now (In Surround) - Volume 2

Had a bad few days this week , so was in the mood for something sad and blues-like yesterday.


Just picked this Blu-ray up and WOW can she ever play a good tune , actually a few great ones on here.
DTS 5.1 is really 3 front unfortunately , nothing in the rears , but ...........WHAT AN AMAZING PERFORMANCE !

Highly recommend the song "For Free " ......such a sad song with stellar piano notes and vocals.

Also quite good........."My Old Man " and "Big Yellow Taxi " and "Both Sides Now "

(FOR FREE ...kinda defines my downer mood , but it is very lovely rendition )

It goes without saying we desperately need her early catalogue in surround and all the quads .

Be-Bop Deluxe "Sunburst Finish" DTS DVD... does anyone else hear a skip at :51 seconds into track 2, "Heavenly Homes"?

This release shines on content (for me) but lacks a bit with regards to fidelity (I raised the LFE +6dB which helped a little); the use of the surrounds is very good and I would definitely purchase another set from Be-Bop if mixed by the same dude

Finally got this a couple days ago (remember when I ordered this skherbeck?) Took forever from Germany, but a good price. Yes, a little light in the LFE loafers.
This was well worth the wait, a real treat IMNSHO
And no, I don't hear any skip at around :51 sec. on my Oppo 205.

I stumbled across this release about a month ago after someone turned me onto the magic of Medeski, Martin and Wood (Hudson was the album they played selections from) and after discovering they'd knocked this out in surround sound I thought I'd give it a go and am I glad I did. If I had to sum the multichannel mix up in one word, I'd call it bonkers

Thanks for that...I tend to use Discogs to update my collection, when I remember!!
Then it's a matter of my A to Z in the bat cave...just bought some more cheapo units from Argos to cope with this ever increasing collection..fun though ain't it...
Funny enough my brother is about to receive a duplicate purchase for Xmas , don't tell him though!!
