The good old version from the 2000s'

Cool, laid back music with a great mix.

If you are wondering how I came across this release it's because after a while of ad hoc collecting, I decided to use the hi rez poll and basically sought and bought all that I could find with an average score of 8 and above.

That was a huge amount of fun in itself, trying to track down so many out of print recordings.

I am now in the very fortunate position of owning 95% of the poll listing.
It's been an incredible journey and when you have a passion like mine, it makes you feel more alive.

But I couldn't have done this, without so much input from you guys and gals.
A big thank you for that.
And here's to another fantastic year of surround music.

A Very Happy New Year to you all.

Now where is that home brew?

Should be in concert thread..but hey ho it's New Years Eve.
Zoom live..the ever brilliant Jeff Lynne.
Nice mix for a live show too.
8.40 am here in the UK , neva too early for a bit of tasty ELO.

And the lead singer Rosie Vela was in a 7 year relationship with Jeff.
Who would have thought that the zoom tour was cancelled due to poor ticket sales!!
If I recall correctly, the reason the tour was cancelled after only a few shows was the 9/11 terrorist attacks in NYC and PA. No one wanted to risk flying in the aftermath of that most unfortunate day.

My final music tonight is the most incredible surround sound release ever.
The totally fantastic Kraftwerk in mind boggling Auro 3D

Before I start my annual homage to Jools Holland and his hogmany show on BBC.

What a YEAR!!
Only 3:15 PM here my man. Just got back from the store and picked up ingredients to make Lasagna......couple six packs of beer.....couple bottles of Cabernet and some Champagne for Mrs GOS.

Got two sixes of nice IPAs - Cigar City Jai Alai and Fat Head’s Head Hunter - and a bottle of Makers Mark whisky. Starting to warm up with Chicago II from the Quadio box. A safe, healthy, and happy New Year to one and all!

The wife unit and I watched one of her favorite movies "Something About Mary', had a couple glasses of wine, and she went to bed tired. Both my kids are at a friends house celebrating the new year.

I'm left alone in the basement listening to music. It's weird how your life changes over the years.

Anyway, there was some discussion that the Kraftwerk 3D disc was the best ATMOS disc. I would disagree and introduce exhibit B - R.E.M.: Automatic For The People (Blu Ray 7.2.4). To me this becomes more clear when A - B'd against the 5.1 DVDA which is no slouch.
