inspired by Ralphie.. i think this may be my favourite Motown Quad, mixwise.
An AF SACD evening, playing selected works from:
George Benson - Breezin’
The Doors - Best of
Blood, Sweat and Tears
Jeff Beck Group
Grover Washington Jr - Winelight
Bread - Best of
America - Homecoming
Wow..Red...you are bringing out the big guns tonight...you go from Jim singing Riders On The Storm...to Grover Washington and Winelight…which is amazing...and America and Ventura Highway...and for good measure some Spinning Wheel...whew...that's quite a lineup...I hope Petey is ready for all that

dts.wav cds - The only needle drops I have are stereo. But that Desire album (I believe only available in Quad as SQ-LP) sounds great to me. If this is still owned by Sony, a 7" SACD would be more than welcome! Looks like MFSL put out a stereo SACD in 2013, I'm thinking of trying to find one of those.

Love this post by you; you're much more thoughtful, courteous, and well spoken than myself that's for sure!

Yep. Trying to "reintegrate"...Thankfully, JP, edisonbaggins is safely home in the USA.
I got my first start into the world of surround with a little Samsung all-in-one DVD player with 5 satellite speakers and 8" sub combo with films originally, but I still remember my very first time when I realised that 'surround music' was not just some reverb added in the rears, 'imbiggened' fake surround bullshit, but was in fact the original separate tracks spread intelligently around the room, naturally expanding the original without just faking a big room with reverb. That first album for me when the light first came on and I realized what was really happening, and how amazing that revelation was:Steely Dan - Two Against Nature DVD-A.
Sounds so clean.
