A balmy -40 with the wind chill, better half is working and we're having company tonight so I've got my chef's hat on. We'll be having pulled chicken from the crockpot, twice baked potatoes full of nasty ingredients one's heart should only have about once a year, a sweet kale salad and a lemon pie for dessert. The salad is so we can say we ate something decent as we waddle away from the table. Kinda like going to McDonald's and ordering large fries, 2 Big Macs and oh...better make that a diet coke :p

Shuffling around the kitchen listening to:
Steely Dan - Gaucho on SACD

LOL, I was thinking afterwards I hadn't played that DVD for like a year and a half so consider the lecture on hoarding music null and void!

Ya know Red....life promise has more going on in the surround channels than Sade Live..BUT...I think it's also because they raised the volume in the rears too..

Sounds tasty, what time should I show up? - Someone should start a thread on food and surround!

Well...he lived to be 86 and from all accounts was active up until the end...he had events scheduled in the next few months...he lived a good life and I'd take that 86 if it was offered to me right now...I won't even get close...but he will be missed...but on the positive side...he will be remembered by many...another thing a lot of us won't have...and I have no idea why I decided to go down this road:unsure:..I guess it's because every month I seem to lose somebody I know..either personally or in the cyber world...I just want to celebrate the good things...when I can..

Wake Up Sunshine
- This track just shuffled through my Oppo from the second album, and I swear it's got Beatles style vocal harmonies and keyboards like ELP at the end, cool but -very strange! Just goes to show there's so much music on that Quadio release that can just sail right past a person.

lost a dear friend to cancer just before Christmas, poor chap was only 62, no age.. his favourite song of all-time; "What Are You Doing The Rest Of Your Life".. feels apt.
