As I said in another post...it's just big stereo...and there aren't many songs on it...but the songs he does are excellent...I like this version quite a bit

My Brother is a huge Luther fan.
Didn't know this until recently, when I was helping him set up his surround system, I checked out his vinyl collection. There in pride of place was all his releases. He might be reading this one day..so high little bro. Keep trying to persuade him to take part but he ain't got the time that I have.

If he doesn't have this one in surround...he needs it...the surround mix is excellent and is done by forum member Thom C(adley)

Uriah Heep
Magic Night

Remarkedly discrete for a live album
It needs the voice of Uriah...David Byron..imo (tragically taken at age 38 coz of too much alcohol)
Watched them in Southampton in 1973..fantastc show.

I don't recall this album being discrete but then haven't played it in a month of Sundays [whatever that means]. Thanks for the reminder, Mike!

Does he have an Oppo or some way to play drives?

His set up is virtually the same as mine. A Marantz 8012 amp, a 7.2. 4 speaker set up. Sony x800 Blu ray player. The Marantz will play flac files but my first attempt failed so need to revisit that. TV is the same too!
He stayed for a week here in the autumn and liked what he heard so copied it. What grips me though is that his new house is a huge 6 bed Victorian one with massive rooms and high ceilings..boy does his system sound superb..grr ..sibling rivalry there.:)

You are very welcome Ralph..sounds great to these old lugholes..especially for a live recording. I'm going through my piles..oh er..one or two don't get too much air time too.
