If that was me...I'd step up to Idlewild South...or if that is too uptempo….go with Moondance….and for a different approach...how about some Talking Heads
Yes idelwild south is GREAT will have to pull that out......I'm glad I have an inventory ofsurround discs like others here gives me choices and let's me forget about some titles long enuf they become new again.

I always play stereo music with the "11 channel stereo" dsp on my Yamaha processor - it sounds great. I believe you have a kind of the same dsp on your Marantz - try it.

Yep sure does Spock, just didn't know I could rip and play in this format via JRiver!! As you could gather, I was in shock, spock. :)
Anyways, I have moved my thoughts to the playing in Non surround thread..this isn't the thread to bang this drum!!

On with my last day of wall rattling, Vol 11 surround music.....

Jerry Granelli - Sandhill Reunion
SACD DSD 5.0
This is unusual!
I haven't heard that one, but I have the Jerry Granelli V16 Project SACD, and it too is quite unusual. Jerry admits that at least 50% of the compositions on V16 are spontaneous in nature. My introduction to Jerry was the Jerry Granelli UFB album that came out in the mid '90s. That was a fully composed effort with a couple of young German guitar players and it was fantastic!

I'd say Sandhill is like a Garrison Keillor monologue over a jazzy/folky house band in a dingy Great White North bar on a cold, misty Tuesday night.

Reacquainting myself with another Dutton Vocalion jewel. Is it soul, disco, R&B, gospel, blues?
How about just great music!
More kudos for steelydave on this one.😍

Speaking of Songline's Jerry Granelli, saw this one at ImportCD [SACD/DVD] which comes with a live DVD performance, as well, for under $7 https://www.importcds.com/vancouver-08/774355157725
