Listening to Now (In Surround) - Volume 2

After listening to Steely Dan's Two Against Nature, I thought this Ry Cooder DVD-A 5.1 PCM 24/96 would be a good one to follow.
I seem to be liking my relatively new speaker settings at Center LF RF at 6db and the two rears at 2.5, I am able to groove pretty good at 25db overall.

Gene, you didn't say the package has a cool lenticular cover. I ordered this based on this post recommendation, just arrived.

There is an option for Dolby Digital 5.1 & DTS 5.1 on this DVD-V. The mix by SW is great but the fidelity is short of great. I had to lower the rears to 3.5db fronts at 6db and center at 6db. To really pull it all out volume is at 58db.
Great music. OPETH-HERITAGE. Listening to the Dolby Digital option.

This BD-A, 24/48 5.1 is very dark, I really like it. I was fortunate to purchase when first released the book edition which really helps in understanding this concept album about a girl who lives and works in a city full of people and nobody knows her. She has a cat. Hand. Cannot. Erase.

This Lichtmond series is completely brilliant..imo
You have it all, fantastic music, completely discrete in 7.1 and wonderful visuals.
I really cannot recommend these releases enough.

I recently bought all 4 off Amazon de for just over £70 and although I've yet to play Lichtmond 3 and the Journey I have no doubt that they will be the same ultra quality of the first two.

My newly acquired (new, unopened) copy of Roxy Music - Avalon (SACD)

Yeah, I've heard it before...but somehow....since I now own a hard/copy...it sounds better. Hee! The case and disc look perfect. I guess $89 is OK to spend at this point...considering the smile I have on my face.

I Know its from 2 years ago, but im going through the pages backwards so I can read all your great comments recommendations, I was the same thought im not spending up to $100 on this but I am going to have to cave thanks GOS, by the way I own the stereo only SACD have it up for sale at Discogs so hopefully that will cover some of it.
