This will be interesting in 2025. I am starting to back off. I used to see an upcoming surround release on QQ of a band I have never heard of and purchase. Some great gems I have found and a lot of duds.
Yes, I think in 2025 I will start to be more picky with the Rhino Quadio and Atmos series, also the SDE numbered series.
Much of our lives were trying to be a bit 'careful' with money. This specially true since about 2015. Bumped my stupid head... Around 2020 became off the charts. And now, with proper 5.1 mixes gradually disappearing, the latest stand alone Who release may be it. We are blessed though. So much music in this home over so many years..... ALL GOOD

Had a bit of an ice storm here and had a hankering for some Sibelius. Listened to the 2nd off the Blu-Ray Disc, but the whole section is a fantastic deal 5 SACDs and the same content on a blu-ray. The LSO will sell you the box directly for GBP 20: https://lsolive.lso.co.uk/collections/20-off-box-sets/products/lso0675-sibelius
My late father played me a Sibelius LP (no idea what, but I liked it) that was many many years ago, so these are the first Sibelius discs I've owned, I've really enjoyed the first 2 SACDs, the live recorded surround isn't spectacular, its immersive, but I do love the music

Love the clock. Yet another of my bucket list projects is to make an illuminated clock for the Bijou. I’ve seen clocks that have light and a battery clock, but that’s not even close. I have an old clock radio that I intend to cannibalize and make a large face with 3D printing, lit by LEDs. My library will 3D print one-offs for the cost of materials.

Still making up stuff for me to do in retirement.

Mr. Tambourine Man with Bruce Langhorne's lead guitar in the rears is tasty.

Andrea Bocelli CONCERTO ONE NIGHT IN CENTRAL PARK [DECCA/1 RBCD/1 DVD~V/DD 5.1/DD 2.0 Surround/NO DTS codec] I'm hardly a lover of Opera, but this 2 disc set capturing Andrea Live in Central Park with special guests accompanied by the New York Philharmonic is, IMO, EXQUISITE. For a DVD, the audio/video was simply amazing and I was entranced for the complete running time of 80 minutes. Very Highest Recommendation

Well. Played the last hour of “Diamonds” last night. Seriously, only one song I thought was a dud in almost four hours of amazing stuff.

FWIW, I’ve been trying to find a command for the Marantz 7706 that will let me change the audio input between HDMI and 7.1, and I haven’t found it. Who doesn’t love the DACs in the Oppo 105? Anyway, I listened to the whole disc through the analog connection, and I’m in love with almost all of it.

Then, I went into the setup of the 7706, changed the audio input to HDMI and blessed copulating excrement, I was absolutely floored by the sound of “Your Song.” For sure, it’s probably my favorite EJ work (not that “Bennie and the Jets” is a slouch, but it’s kinda frivilous subject matter, and reminds me of a few instances of being under the influence more than anything else), but clearly, I need another four hours with Elton.

I have a Denon AVC-X8500HA (Marantz is owned by the same company, so should be the same), and unlike my old Pioneer you can't scroll through the inputs to get to the multi-channel analogue input on the fly

You have to go to Set-up: Select Input Source and switch from HDMI to 7.1 Analogue - its irritating, and you can't assign the 7.1 to say an AUX i/p either!
