Convergence! Earlier today, i gave Stevie Wonder's Innervisions a spin and i was reminded that it's Women's Herstory Month . . . somehow spinning this beauty from Chesky seemed like a perfect way to end my afternoon. The mix is typical Chesky, and the material is top shelf. Jen Chapin is Harry Chapin's daughter. Accompanied only by her husband, Stephan Crump, on bass and saxophonist Chris Cheek–who plays baritone, soprano, and tenor–these are some truly sparse and moving revisions!
