Yesterday I listened to the upmix of Carmel, The Falling. That one comes out really well in 5.0. It seems to be made for surround.

Been listening to and really diggin’ Holland123’s upmix Of Jimi’s First Rays Of The New Rising Sun. All I can say is - WOW! Simply amazingly discrete. Hires fidelity aside, I honestly feel that what he achieves with this tremendous upmix trumps Kramer’s true 5.1 surround mix of Electric Ladyland. Blasphemous, I know, but that’s how this Hendrix acolyte feels, dammit!

I'm a big fan of Holland 123's upmix of First Rays Of The New Rising Sun and Holland 123's upmix's period..If you haven't heard his upmix of Electric Ladyland you will be blown away by it too..Way more discrete than the Kramer version..Which I do enjoy too..Mainly for the higher res..Not the mix..Which is really cool..Just not compared to Holland 123's..IMO of course..

I just made an upmix of Ummagumma (Pink Floyd). Wow, it sounds as if it is made for multichannel!

Unfortunately FROTNRS is a crappy sounding CD, compression galore. No great sounding version to upmix from. I do agree though Kevin is excellent at upmixing.
