New MMH version 3.5.8 update now uploaded.

CHANGES:
Split MKV/MKA to MKA tool now removes all chapters from final MKA files (Kodi sees the chapters as songs)
Split MKV/MKA to MKA tool now allows Tagging from MusicBrainz directly (previously you needed to reload the new files into the 'Rename & Tagging' dialog)

EDIT:
Split MKV/MKA to MKA tool now allows loading data from MusicBrainz directly (previously you needed to reload the new files into the 'Rename & Tagging' dialog). This data can be used to rename the mka files to song titles and used to create a cue file for the album. MMH still cannot save tags to the mka files

New MMH version 3.5.10 update now available:

Changes:
3rd Party tools updated

Media File Manager tool: Added ability to read DR from a Foobar DR file (if exists in an album folder) and report DR in exports
Media File Manager tool: Added 'comment' tag (read from first media file) for each album, can be included in reports
Batch Audio tool: Add an option to report if 'discart.png' file exists for an album and loads DR (if Foobar DR file exists)

Note: For seeing if a DR file exists: The Batch Audio tool is much faster than Media File Manager as MFM tool reads all tags for all files. The Batch Audio tool just looks for the DR file and shows the album DR if it does.

Looks interesting. I had a ***** of a time ripping the new Blu Ray Pink Floyd box set with MKV to MMH. I ripped the day of release and there was no tag data yet and had to manually tag.
Will this new version help with brand new releases with no tag data yet? Taking file names directly from the disc like a DVD-A or SACD?

The MusicBrainz tagging needs someone to have added the reales to its database.

MMH can help tagging by copying a text list of tracks. Copy the track listing off a website and paste it into a special dialog and MMH copies all to the title column in the tagging grid. That may save some time.

Good to know will try next time. Currently no Blu Rays on tap to rip. And thank you.

New MMH version 3.5.11 update now available:

Changes:
Remix Audio tool:
- Added a new 'expert mode' where uses can load and convert more than one file channel type in same batch
- Added Channel Layout column to grid for files loaded

Media File Manager tool: Now copies selected folders faster (a bug previous waited between folders ...). This still only copies new or 'changed' files. If the file exists and same as source it will be ignored.

Figure shows 'Expert Mode' enabled:

More than one Remix option can be selected with expert mode enabled. Grid loads all matching files recursively for all remix options selected. Expert Mode still won't allow more than one Remix Type for a specific source file channel count.

New MMH version 3.6.0 released today

Remix Tool:
Added support for DSF files (except Channel Inversion)
Added new option to Refresh Silent channels in any 5 or 6 channel file (removes then adds new silents)
Improved loading files speed using Sub-Folder recursion
Fixed bug in Quad (4 channel) to 5.1 with silent C and LFE

Media Manager:
Improved loading file speed from Music sources (song files are processed mutithreaded)

Quad SACD DR:
The bad news is that removing/adding new silents in quad DSF still gives incorrect DR readings!!! There's still noise in the silents using DSD, maybe its Foobar's DSD decoding that wonky?

You can still use MMH to remix quad SACD to pure 4 channel DSF files (removing Silent Channels) and use Foobar to read DR correctly (eliminates the silent channel issues)

EDIT:
WARNING: If you are removing silent channels please ensure the targeted channels are really silent. I’ve seen SACDs that are 5 channel and the centre is NOT SILENT! They are 5.0 with no LFE.

Thanks Jon. Most of these tools I use constant and it’s great I can help others get their MCH music into files for playback. If it’s easier then more will do it, hopefully. It’s just so much nicer to access music off disc drives than playing DVDs and BDs.

The Remix tool bug in ‘Quad (4 channel) to 5.1 with silent C and LFE’ previous remixes (fixed in 3.6.0)

This bug didn’t add silent C and LFE to 4.0. It actually added a copy of Left Surround as C (still leaving LS as LS).

If you’ve used this option you can fix with the new Refresh Silent Channel option (that removes existing C and LFE and then adds new C and LFE correctly).

Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Neat (y)
 is there an MMH tool to easily go from surround DSD/DSF to FLAC?

Just a thank you. I'm new to high res audio and your tool has been a great help! How's MKA tagging coming? If you get that to work, you would be the first person in history to do it, apparently...
