Markie's struggles inspired me today to make some changes.
On the two audio room pc's I set the same admin username and the same passwords at the suggestion of a friend.

Though neither shows as on the network to the other, I can now map any of the (shared) drives between devices.

To address @DuncanS & @marpow about SMB 1 on Win11, yes it's under Programs & Features/Turn Windows features on or off.

I use static IP's (from within Windows) on all devices, even my primary disc spinner and the AVR. No guessing, no DHCP changing stuff.

Static/Fixed IPs is highly recommended/advised for any devices you need to access regularly over your network. My NASs, media players and desktop PCs are all static/fixed. Using DHCP cause this issue and other users have had same problems (@GOS)

Looked into activating SMB, but all says has security vulnerability issues

Looking into IP address.
The Synology assistant shows one IP address.
But my Synology DSM shows a LAN with a different IP address. I tried the assistant version and no luck.
Now going to try the LAN version.

If you use NFS you need to allow your PC to access each shared drive on your NAS by the PC’s IP address.

The easiest way to get your old PC connected to your NAS is to set the NAS’s IP back to its original address.

I wonder if I need new items (packages) installed. I go into the package center and there are many options to install, I only have two installed. Windows 11 needs more?

Wins on 11:
Chrome Web browser functions great. Personal and business email accounts-great.
MKV for Blu Rays, DVDAE for DVD's and Music Media Player for CD's all tested for ripping and function well.
External BD for ripping all discs-good.
Ethernet connected.
Webroot and Windows Defender for security function great.

Fails on 11:
Synology NAS- not yet.
Sonore for ripping SACD using OPPO 105-not yet.
Music Media Helper for tagging ripped Blu Rays-not yet.

There is something that I can't figure out with the network? The NAS and the MMH should be no brainers.
I'll reopen the 10 PC and see if I can get some clues?

My new iphone SE can’r see my NAS. The NAS has a fixed IP address, and so far I’ve tried the ols settings and the IP address and no go. I’m using the File Browser app, and in the app where I try to add a NAS, it does a search but does not find. All my other devices find it just fine - ethernet or wifi. 🤔

There are some services in Windows that need to run. Sometimes they get set to Manual but I set them to Auto.
Even if it doesn't help, it won't hurt anything.

You go to run, then type in services.msc
This will list all the services running on the pc.

After the services are displayed, right click on one you want to change and select Properties.
Select startup type and choose Automatic. You can also choose Start to start the service right away.

You can Google it and get a full list if I missed any.
Off the top of my head:

Computer Browser
Function Discovery Provider Host
Function Discovery Resource Publication
UPnP Device Host

luck.

Thanks for that, made some corrections to automatic, the list is very long, I don't want to press too much yet.
I made some progress and the MediaVault my NAS shows on network, but not as a function add in/read out. Just opens the DSM.
The computer on network called Media is my PC used for music listening with JRiver.
I found this video from Synology and shows network mapping, I watched last night, mapping instructions towards the end, going to give it a go. Unfortunately many You Tube videos are instructions for a new NAS, which will wipe your hard drives clean, it is no big deal when starting with a brand new NAS and new hard drives. My hard drives are still intact, I would throw up if I lost that info which is years of adding music files.

I give up.
I can't get my NAS on the network and I cannot get the Sonore SACD ripper on.
I cannot get MMH to load.
I am going to let it all go and hope the magic ferries come in the night and fix it, or my appointment with Geek Squad on Thursday finds the key to unlock for now.
I have done this with no problems, two laptops, a NUC and a fanless PC. This is a Windows 11 issue that I will eventually figure out.
I could start all over with new NAS, hard drives, throw this new PC in garbage, but that sounds ridiculous and would be about $4000.00.
Best news is my 10 +TB of music is safe on the NAS, and I was smart enough to copy every piece of music on additional external hard drives.
Lets hope I get a very savvy tech on Thursday.
Happy New Year.
