I was just playing this album earlier on LP.

I was thinking that not only would I love a surround mix, but it could use a remix, period. Always an album I thought was a bit less hi-fi sounding than it should/could be.

Gonna say Supertramp - Crime of the Century. 50th anniversary this year, right era for a potential quad, no existing surround mix, has been discussed on this forum. I would say Diamond Dogs but I think Bowie is too big for an announcement like this.

Quad was mentioned but he said "quad or any other (sub)mersive mix" (I presume he meant immersive)

So it's not limited to a quad-era title. In my reading, anyway.

That’s the way I read it too. Not necessarily quad.

I doubt that it would be Aerosmith. They had three quad releases and I don't recall any musing about other titles. Not being an Aerosmith fan the only title I might hope for would be the first album. I lost interest after "Toys".

BTW I didn't even like like Aerosmith at first, my brother and his friend played "Rocks" and "Get Your Wings" quite often; played them to death actually. Later on I was blown away by the Quad mixes of both of those titles! I bought them only because they were Quad, and was not disappointed!

About right now, anything would be a clue. Not much to go on at all.

The Cars first album ?

I'm thinking it's most likely this. I'm not sure if quad was speculated, but there was definitely confusion if a 5.1 mix was ever made.

As much as I wish it’s The Cars or Boston or ELO, it’s probably more likely that a poster who we don’t really know saying “the artist with whom I’m currently working” makes it more likely to be a more obscure title like this.

I was thinking ELO's Out of the Blue. It has that tune, Big Wheels and Lynne is on tour this fall.

I can think of no better album for a 5.1/Atmos release but Jeff Lynne is adverse to surround sound, which is a terrible shame.

Okay... Following me here. Bill's latest album is called "Just Like Water" (submersive?). The producer/engineer is Zach Ziskin. Zach has produced a Todd Rundgren tribute album. Todd has albums on our lists. So, maybe Something/Anything?
