I was looking at the details of the SACD on the Acoustic Sounds website and noticed that it includes as 2018 remix in: 1, hi-Rez stereo sacd, 2, 5.1 Multichannel sacd, 3, normal cd layer, 4, the original 1977 stereo mix too. Is that a miss print or am I reading it wrong?View attachment 81539

I think the reference to the 1977 mix is just a production credit.

Animals was mastered in quad the reel to reel and vinyl have been available in quad for decades just like DSOTM WYWH and The Wall, I think a few others??

Whatever's out there from before, is either an upmix or a lie.

(there is at least one brilliant Animals upmix out there. Pigs On a Wing is stereo, then the whole thing blossoms to surround with Dogs. The new surround remix will be competing with that, to my ears)

Anyway all the 5.1 does is add a front centre channel, wow how clever of them? The Discovery Box set had a copy of Animals in 5.1, I bet its the same one

Don't forget the 10% off coupon! Personally, I like the inclusion of the dvd and the blu ray. More is better, right?!? They could have thrown in that Oakland show from the tour. If Wolfgang's Vault has some of it, they have the whole thing.
