Pink Floyd - "Animals" 5.1 Surround Sound Mix (Blu-Ray & SACD editions out in September 2022!)

Come on... we've waited so long what's another five weeks? If however they cancel it, for whatever reason, then we all have the right to go postal.

That pic was obviously photo-shopped.

Talking of DG photos, did anyone see this story a few years ago? One of the first, big UK influencers (Zoella) Instagrammed a "random" shot they took of a nice old bloke taking his dog for a walk. It had to be pointed out to her that he was considerably more famous than she was...

(Of course, it's also a reminder to us old geezers that not everybody cares quite so much about the reissue of a 45 year old album!)

You could try asking Diverse Vinyl if they'll stock it, I have bought a few SACD from them, You searched for SACD - Diverse Vinyl with the £ to $ as it is, plus VAT etc. I reckon if they do it'll be around £45.

Cheaper to buy the stand alone Blu-ray.

Got to love a good rumor, back along long time ago one was floating around this French pressing contained the Quad mix
so of course I search and found the pressing, but like all great Quad rumors the best ones just don't pan out.
If nothing else it wins hands down in the most pink of all floyd albums

Burning Shed are currently offering the (multi-channel) Blu-ray audio disc. Sadly not the (multi-channel) SACD. Which is a bit of a shame...

I think we should call it the 2018 remix since that is what its known as. CD looks to be about £12 the vinyl about £22 and a full version including DVD and BLuRay for about £55. There is the 2018 remix and then the 2018 remix 5.1 version so potentially 2 new versions

THe full set also includes the 2011 remix so your getting old stuff to. Then I guess they will also release all the 5.1 versions in one big box set. I would guess Amazon is as good as anywhere or your local vinyl shop

Diverse Vinyl. Very reliable and dependable for specialist label issues. I have it on pre order from them, but it ain't cheap. You can also order directly from Accoustic Sounds using international delivery; but not sure if that works out any cheaper.

I see that it can be "pre-ordered" via Amazon on "Blu-ray Audio" for $19.99 and on "Audio CD" for $11.99, so this is a bit confusing. Needelss to say, I'm after the MC 5.1 mix of the album.

If I understand what you are asking:

• The blu-ray will have the multi-channel, stereo 2018 remix, + 1977 original mix
• The Audio CD is the 2018 stereo remix

You can also get the 5.1 mix on:

• The Deluxe Box Set with both a blu-ray & DVD disc (like several of their past box sets)
• SACD with he multi-channel, stereo 2018 remix, and supposedly the 1977 original mix (via Acoustic Sounds)

Yep if you magnify the pictures on amazon and look at the sticker - you do get the new Remix 5.1 and the stereos of the remix and the original 1977 so the bluray is what ya want - great price toooooo
