Haven't seen a shipping email for my dvd yet. Did those people who have received the dvd get an email or did it just arrive 'unannounced'? Anyone in Australia have it yet?

Still waiting for mine here..... (I hope) from the Pink floyd Euro store.. :zzzzz

This will be the death of me...Not amused! :D

Got my confirmation today =) I can't wait!!!

But If I like the mix I'll be very angry because temptation of buying the box just for the BR or wait for the BR alone will be annoying!!
=/
Prepare to be annoyed. Andy Jackson did an outstanding job on this. I know you will enjoy it!

I got the Blu-ray with the box and it's one of my favorite multi-channel mixes of all time. I also pre-ordered the DVD and received confirmation that it was shipped yesterday. I'll compare the two and will post my thoughts after a few spins.

IIRC , TDB was an "early" (48 K ) recording so there shouldn't be basically any difference between them...
IIRC, Division Bell was mostly an analog recording with the exception of a few drum parts. I don't think they would have released HD files in 96/24 as an up-rez if the reels weren't transferred at that resolution. In fact, I think all of the Discovery remasters were transferred to 96/24 and I'm hoping to eventually see the catalog in this resolution on HD Tracks or a similar site.

As an aside, one of the illegal file sharing sites that replaced "Oink" a few years ago just last week put a ban on anything downloaded from HD Tracks due to how often they find upsampled files.

Well, GREAT!
Since they were so "Go DIGITAL" with AMLOR, I could've sworn that it was DIGITAL all the way!
If it's DTS 96/24 it'd be even better...

So the HD Tracks stuff isn't good enough for the illegal file sharing sites. Pretty funny!

My DVD has left Tenn and is somewhere in NJ, progress!

MY Division Bell has also shipped. I have already received my Marley blu-ray surround Legend, My Tull Passion Play and my CSNY blu-ray has also shipped. CHRISTMAS IN JULY for this Jewish boy. btw-I was born on XMAS DAY. no kidding.

i can't express how blown away i am with this one. didn't think i would love it so much...but..everything is done SO RIGHT...funny how alive an album becomes in multi channel. i will go so far as to say i love it more than DSOTM and WYWH... yeah....it's that good

I agree 100%! And it's more quad than 5.1 with little use of the center channel.

It's a crime that they kept this in the can for 20 years. This should have been in the first run of surround titles with a big push behind it. Just a quick listen of a couple of songs and I'm blown away. It was worth every minute of the wait. I can't wait to give it a proper listen!

It is a really good mix, brings the album back to life after all these years IMHO.
