One Elektra (our first!)
Two Atlantics
One Warner Bros.
i think The Doors were on Elektra? 🤔

my number one Elektra Quad for the Rhino Quadio treatment would be Stardrive Featuring Robert Mason "Intergalactic Trot".

closely followed by a David Gates' 2-fer (his later Quad album is so short and sweet it's almost an E.P...! 🤯 ) and then Sergio Mendes' Self-titled 1975 Quad and a Carly Simon Quadio Box Set.

for Atlantic, either of the remaining 2 x Spinners Quads, Duke Ellington, MJQ, Aretha and Herbie Mann's "Reggae" is a lovely one as well.

there's a fair few WB label Quads deserving of Quadio kid gloves.. my main one as it's such a fun active mix and it's so scarce being a super late entry U.K. CD-4-only release is 1976's Deaf School's "2nd Honeymoon".. any James Taylor Quad, of course, maybe a 2-fer or box set if more unreleased Quads are unearthed?

Arlo Guthrie.. Maria Muldaur.. Dionne Warwick(e)... a Tony Orlando and Dawn Elektra 2-fer could be cool... Hot Tuna.. more Alice Cooper and Jefferson Starship.. a Souther-Hillman-Furay Band 2-fer (nice mixes and sound quality iirc).. still loads to do! 🙏💘

There's a jazz title in there. I'm pleasantly surprised at how well the Gil Evans Quadio has been selling!
The Jazz must be one of the Atlantic titles.

I'm glad to hear Gil Evans was not a stiff. One never knows for sure how a title like that one will do in the bigger picture. But 70's Jazz in quad is really rare and special.

One Elektra (our first!) Bread, or a Carly?
Two Atlantics - Miss M or MJQ or do we dare hope for Geils
One Warner Bros. - I guess not Stormbringer or Diamond Girl. So what could it be??? GCS? Rod?

Because you were of dizzying 'round the room in pans of a hoot and forgot all about Miss M.

It's just so wild a state we find ourselves in - with quad mixes, and choices and wants, to dare to count the options and possibilities. It really could make your head spin.

I would imagine that Aretha Franklin's Greatest Hits would be back on the table at this point. It's been a while since the failed initial quadio run, so I wouldn't be surprised if another reissue of that album is somewhere in the works.

If Rhino doesn't repeat any artist yet, that might take Seals and Crofts and Spinners off the table.

I'm guessing there's a good chance the Elektra is a Carly album. But maybe Best of Bread, too. I can't imagine the Doors since they just released that Atmos version. I am really hoping though that it's not Carly only because I'd LOVE a box set of her. And she's got enough quad releases.

For Atlantic, I'm hoping for Bette to be the non-jazz one and then maybe MJQ.

Warner could be James Taylor either Gorilla or One Man Dog. But since the first bundle had some pretty serious rock titles and we haven't had any more of that type released, I'm going to guess Deep Purple.

Deep Purple did get a quad reissue, in the UK anyway. Foraging said it was four quads that have not been reissued.

Steve says four yet-to-be-rereleased titles, so that excludes Aretha's Greatest, since that got a Quadio DVD-V release.

The only Doors period quad mix (The Best of the Doors) has already been rereleased twice on digital disc, including once by Rhino (but first by Audio Fidelity).

Machine Head did, yes, but there's also the quad mix of Stormbringer. I don't expect a standalone Quadio release of that one, at least not until the Deep Purple team has a crack at it first, just like Machine Head.

The Stormbringer Quad mix was actually released on DVD-Video but it was one of those derived affairs with added Centre and LFE channels I believe.

This could be another case like Paranoid which again was released on DVD but it was from a noisy needledrop of the CD-4.
