That was a late 80s album originally on Portrait. (then CBS)

Great album, but not a candidate for Rhino Quadio

Still, if Discothèque ever was found to have an unreleased quad, (1975,) I'd lose my mind! Hi-Jack was a huge hit for him, his only pop song and it topped the "Disco" charts at the time for several weeks. Still, I'd take any of his quad works, like Push Push, which was on Q8 only.

Oh DEFINITELY agreed! But if they ever got released, it wouldn't be from Rhino. I would bet Barry White, with his spectacular orchestra would be amazing in surround!

Batch 7 will be (was planned to be) part of Rhino's Black History Month celebration.
So that's what I leaned into.

Not sure how much value such “clues” have. People believe what they wanna believe. Someone here thought the “Black History Month” clue might somehow mean Gordon Lightfoot.

Barry's 1973 "I've Got So Much To Give" album's been remixed in Dolby Atmos and is streaming in Surround on Apple Music now

mastering (or i suspect paucity of ) is on the bright and crispy side of things but it's Surround-y enough and chock full of detail.

there's also one other Barry White track in Dolby Atmos floating about, the title track from his later "Let The Music Play" album from 1976 has been streaming for the last couple of years

that would be a fabulous choice for Quadio Blu, Ralphieroo! not only does it have some rather nice Quad (mixed by Phil Ramone, no less) but the CD-4's a rather full LP which can be a bit of a bind trying to keep the distortion at bay towards the inner grooviness of the disc, bay-bee! time for a 21stC update on Quadio yoohoo!
