No idea who holds rights to Stanley Clarke, but i would certainly love me some. If This Bass Could Only Talk would be right up there.
That was a late 80s album originally on Portrait. (then CBS)No idea who holds rights to Stanley Clarke, but i would certainly love me some. If This Bass Could Only Talk would be right up there.
Oooh, disco! I don’t know it this thread is a wish list thingy, but Donna Summer and Barry White would be awesome! Probably not available, but I can dream, can’t I?Still, if Discothèque ever was found to have an unreleased quad, (1975,) I'd lose my mind! Hi-Jack was a huge hit for him, his only pop song and it topped the "Disco" charts at the time for several weeks. Still, I'd take any of his quad works, like Push Push, which was on Q8 only.
genre diversity? FED UP, This candy a## BSIf this set goes for genre diversity, I’m hoping we can finally see an MJQ jazz pick
Oh DEFINITELY agreed! But if they ever got released, it wouldn't be from Rhino. I would bet Barry White, with his spectacular orchestra would be amazing in surround!Oooh, disco! Because he was on Columbia.Johnny Mathis would make me very happy. I'm sure there is some reason it can't happen....
Those would be Universal, not Rhino.I don't know what if anything may be available but something from the Motown
label would be awesome. The Four Tops, Temptations, Tammi Terrell, etc.
A person can hope. Those would be Universal, not Rhino.
What's your problem?genre diversity? FED UP, This candy a## BS
Well, his clue upstream was that they focused on Black artist or something like that.@ForagingRhino - Whatcha think about a clue (or release date) as an xmas gift?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_History_MonthBatch 7 will be (was planned to be) part of Rhino's Black History Month celebration.
So that's what I leaned into.
There's your Christmas clue!
Not sure how much value such “clues” have. People believe what they wanna believe. Someone here thought the “Black History Month” clue might somehow mean Gordon Lightfoot.
it's already a-hip-and-happenin'!Oh DEFINITELY agreed! But if they ever got released, it wouldn't be from Rhino. I would bet Barry White, with his spectacular orchestra would be amazing in surround!
that would be a fabulous choice for Quadio Blu, Ralphieroo! not only does it have some rather nice Quad (mixed by Phil Ramone, no less) but the CD-4's a rather full LP which can be a bit of a bind trying to keep the distortion at bay towards the inner grooviness of the disc, bay-bee! time for a 21stC update on Quadio yoohoo!Another possibility is The Wiz Original Cast Recording featuring Stephanie Mills as Dorothy [Atlantic Records/QUAD]
