Jaybird, you're confusing this with Miles Davis' landmark album KIND OF BLUE. This album AFAIK is brand new and has never been released before. It's actually a precursor to KIND OF BLUE. I only wish Analogue Productions had released it in it's original THREE CHANNEL CONFIGURATION instead of mixing it down to 2 channels!
You are correct. It's a great album. The Dual Disc claims to be surround sound, but it actually 3 channel.

These tracks have been out before, although not on SACD. 1958 Miles was a 1974 compilation that included the three titles on the 1959 Jazz Tracks album plus the unissued "Love for Sale." The Complete Columbia Recordings of Miles Davis with John Coltrane contains all four plus an alternate take of "Fran-Dance."

For Miles Davis fans, Analogue Productions is releasing a new hybrid Stereo SACD BIRTH OF THE BLUE....
Acoustic Sounds do themselves no favours with their ridiculous shipping costs. Sent to me in Canada this US$35.00 disc would travel for US$25.51 (cheapest), but if I was a fan of the ironically titled "UPS Super Saver" postage method I'd only fork out US$166.41 for that special "Super Saver", er, saving?

ImportCDs send me any disc for US$7.99, and two for US$9.99. 🤷‍♂️
