How about any great album with a decent or better mix, which have only been released lossily and/or with sh*t mastering.

E.g. Fleetwood Mac S/T and Tusk, amongst numerous other possible titles.

The Atmos mix of FM's 1975 S/T has got to be one of the worst I've heard of a classic on the streaming services, but the old Ken Caillat 5.1 would be great to have on Blu-Ray.

Most unfortunately according to Richard Carpenter himself all the Carpenter's multi track masters perished in the Universal fire in 2007!

Yes, but they had to digitize the multitrack to make the 5.1 remix. Assuming someone still has those files, an Atmos mix could be made.

Presumably and according to Richard himself, he was the last person to have access to the actual Carpenter multi track masters when the Carpenter's Singles SACD in 5.1 was prepared for release and he dutifully returned all the master multi tracks to UMG and then learned of the fire.

UMG which has been riddled since with multiple lawsuits asserts that they have at least 10 locations worldwide where their master tapes are stored and even admit they kept at best shoddy records of what was and was not located in the conflagrated Los Angeles facility.

So there is hope but Richard did not mention that the Carpenter multi track masters were ever 'digitized' which in this day and age seems suspect. Let's hope they do locate them.

I think a great SDE release would be (in a few years) the 50th anniversary of Synergy's "Electronic Realization For Rock Orchestra." There were quad versions out there on vinyl and 8 track. Would love to see it on Blu-ray, maybe with a new 5.1 and/or Atmos mix.
