it would indeed! Universal ought to have reissued the Quad mix already imho but a new Atmos mix feels more likely at this point

It's probably outside of the scope of something SDE would do, but if ever there was an album more desperately begging for a "bells and whistles" deluxe surround reissue on Blu-Ray, it's this album. Aside from the phenomenal quad mix, there's the Margouleff/Biles 5.1 mixes from the '90s DTS CD, and the scattered Atmos mixes done for streaming. Add a full album remix done by a "prestige" mixer and you already have an attractive set.

On top of that there's an absolute wealth of stereo material to go along with it which includes, I think, two (maybe three?) stereo mixes, two instrumental mixes, demos, single edits, outtakes, and the Live at Kennedy Center performance from 1972 (which could also be Atmos-ized), along with video material including the live performance at the Operation PUSH Expo in 1972 that was used for the 1973 Save the Children film.

well, i mean like a Mark Hollis/Kate Bush type stance, not a nonchalant they "just don't give a toss" vibe

i'm not sure how much international commercial appeal there'd be for some UK acts that didn't crossover but i'd like SDE to continue in pretty much the same vein, lots of UK Bands and artists music in Atmos..

George Michael's solo catalogue, Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode, Erasure, Yazoo/Alison Moyet, Communards/Bronski Beat, Spandau Ballet, Simply Red, Culture Club, OMD, Human League, New Order, Tears For Fears, Eurythmics, The Cure, The Smiths, Duran Duran, Blur, Gorillaz, Oasis, Suede, Supergrass, Stereophonics, Pulp, Manic Street Preachers, Travis, Mika, Robbie Williams/Take That, Cardigans, Texas, Snow Patrol, Kasabian, Joss Stone, Verve, Stone Roses, Jamiroquai, Moloko, Goldfrapp..

internationally there's loads of acts i'd love to get the SDE Surround treatment..

..Elton, obviously would be my first choice, the "Diamonds" compilation in Atmos, 5.1 & decent Stereo would be a good place to start and test the waters but also EJ's Classic Albums from 1970's eponymous LP upto and including "Blue Moves" all worthwhile and viable imho.

FYI, though I am really not a Sarah Mclaughlin fan, I went to her concert at Radio City Music Hall. Absolutely fantastic! Excellent performance, and very cozy in a space of over 6,000 people. I am going through the catalog now.
