Sometimes you just don't want to work on things anymore...because the problem with work is that it's WORK. Ugh.

Anyway, to my folks in the northern parts of the US, are you enjoying the snow today?
It's snowing here in central Illinois, only it's not sticking. Regardless, it's a really nasty day.

We had snow on the ground here in Bumbletopia this morning. Not much, but the ground definitely was white. The Vermont ski resorts got wacked again, but ski season is over for us.

The weather was so dreary the last few days. The eclipse arrived early. LOL

Ah, a barmy 275.372222 degrees Kelvin then
Yeah Dunc, us metrically challenged Americans are the last embarrassed holdouts in the universe. It’s tough when you’ve lived your whole life relating to degrees Fahrenheit, pounds and ounces, and miles per hour!🤦‍♂️

Ironically, it all stems from the British Imperial System from back when we were a colony. 🤷‍♂️

Don't worry I was originally taught in primary school about feet, inches even rods & perches, acres etc. then we went all metric by the time I was old enough to have to sit formal exams at school, and being a scientist/engineer its what its (mostly) in. But in the UK you can buy in strange combinations for example wood as 2"x 2" x 2m!

Edit: But your gallon is different to ours!

Rumor(rumour?)has it that we speak the same language…

Edit: I remember back in college, reading the Canterbury Tales in the original Middle English!

The more I discover about S.I., the more I dislike the English/ Imperial system. For example, under nonadiabatic conditions (normal atmospheric conditions, not an inversion,) the temperature decreases by 1 deg C for every 100 meter increase in elevation. A meteorologist taught me that.

I got into some poison ivy about 7 years ago while mowing the lawn, this stuff really, really works, rash was reduced then gone in about 1 day.

I can look at poison ivy/poison oak and get blisters. I manage to get it every year while clearing vines, amongst which there is always one or the other hiding.
The washes can be very effective if used soon after exposure. Problem is I'm not usually aware I've been exposed until the blisters appear. But they can still help mitigate spreading.

I have used this Technu Oak n Ivy stuff and found it also to be very effective:

Poison sumac is a real bitch. I go it once and could not get rid of it until I tried this product.

Geez, we just had an earthquake here. The whole house shook for about a minute. Anyone else?

Edit: USGS reporting 4.7 magnitude; epicenter 15 miles from my house. Who needs a subwoofer? LOL
Wow!!! I can't say I felt anything but I wasn't sitting still, I was doing some work around the house. The dog didn't act strangely so I'd say it wasn't felt this far south.
Hope there isn't much damage. An earthquake that can be felt on the east coast is rare,

Last night I slept with 2 pillows, this morning I seriously cannot turn my head to the left. Ugh.
It always surprises me how awful a bad pillow night will effect my neck. Might be another getting older things. Seems like I have more bad nights than good with my neck these days. Good luck.

And also to @GOS , a few years ago we had a big family vacation at Disney World and stayed at the Pop Century Resort. Most hotel pillows I've found are just bad to just barely good. The ones there were the best pillows I've laid my head on. I checked the tag & it said Sahara Nights. As soon as I got back I ordered two of 'em:

https://sobelathome.com/products/sahara-nights-pillow

The cost has gone up about $20 since I ordered but I's say it's worth it. Only problem is it makes it mighty hard sometimes to get up & out of bed...
