One Hit Wonders
I was idly perusing BBC iPlayer for TV music programmes (to play whilst working of course!) and found a one hour show of "One Hit Wonders at the BBC" so thought I would have a look/listen. I became fascinated by the artists highlighted as some were definitely not on my radar as "One Hit" anything - the BBC must have a much better radar system than me. So, here is a short list of some that surprised me in this category, starting with the less surprising:
Joan Jett & The Blackhearts: "I Love Rock'n'Roll"
Tracy Chapman: "Fast Car"
John Denver: "Annie's Song"
John Cougar Mellencamp: "Jack & Diane"
Labelle: "Lady Marmalade"
Patti Smith: "Because The Night"
Kim Carnes: "Betty Davis Eyes"
and for me the most surprising..
Don Henley: "The Boys Of Summer"
Who knew that Don Henley was a one-hit wonder!

I dunno, listing John Denver as being a one-hit wonder is pretty random.Ok, that is definitely is simply more random than One Hit Wonders....I give in!
