This is a simple video, recorded from inside the cockpit of a 747 landing at O'Hare. I mean, I don't know why it makes me more nervous watching this, than not knowing anything at all. Seeing the pilot fidget around...eh. you know. lol

My very first ride on a commercial (or any) jet was landing in Louisville. Pouring rain.I had a wing seat and a good view of the engines. On landing one of the engines made a loud noise and I like to have sh** a brick.

I was on a long ride on a turboprop C130 military aircraft when one of the engines quit. One of the pilots came on the intercom and informed us no problem, we still have 3 engines going.

I have definitely not ever been in a helicopter. And I suppose the idea of how they navigate would freak me out. I also suppose it can be an incredibly bumpy lose your stomach ride at times.

Yes. In the Philippines looking at power transmission lines. It was one of them copters with the bubble cabin. My group occupied two of them. The pilots all looked like they were hot shots...probably Filipino ex-military...wearing cool sunglasses, of course!

I took a helicopter flight during a trip to Alaska to land on a glacier. Pilot plus four passengers, so someone got stuck in the middle of the back seat with boogerlicious views. But it was a smooth flight, and it was fascinating to see the surface of that big chunk of ice.

And it was a real dog's mother to run through my rack, although the conduit pull was pretty easy. Lots of climbing ladders going between the two crawl spaces on either side of the room. Shucks!

Besides a very small folding ladder in the house, if I never get on another ladder again it will suit me fine, so I completely understand. Ladders at our age...well, not so good. But we do what we gotta.

I confess the current tv in the audio room, which is on a swivel and going to stay there, the (heavy duty) HDMI cable for it and the sub run together on the floor which I have to step over. Just too much of a pita to run otherwise.

Well, I know I have a few more cable runs in the six crawlspaces in my house. Goofiest attic I’ve ever seen.

So, yeah, I’m mostly OK with the ladders, but I know I better start getting it right soon. Those are not my favorite parts of the house. Not that I want thise days behind me, but dadratit, I’d like that job to be done.

Of course, it’ll be done when they carry me out.

My bedroom receiver is on the OUTS and I have a new one to replace it but the thought of moving everything around, rewiring the system [only 5.1] and programming it has me putting it off until my old receiver DIES! Cannot currently control the volume with the remote and while it's an inconvenience I'm just too unmotivated to go through the process again.

My mom died earlier this year, and there's no way in heck that my wife will go into one of the crawl spaces. So I'll just have to make sure there's enough slack that I don't knot things up, and that I pull gently enough that if they do, I don't make it worse.

Not my first rodeo, alas.

Apologies if this has already been covered or suggested . . . is your cable able to support a HDMI Power injector?
These are basically a pass-through female-to-male hdmi adaptor with a USB cable that pops out the side so you plug it into a 5V DC source.
I have a 15M hdmi optical cable and it will not work without the power booster at the remote end.

From what I understand, if the run is long then it needs /may need an injector?
The cables are more fragile?

I have not read enough to understand HDMI optical vs. standard HDMI cables and benefits from each.
My longest HDMI run is about 16 meters, and that's three cables connected.
