This was a last-minute decision to pick up on Record Store Day. SO GLAD i did! When i got sober from drugs and alcohol, i listened to nothing buy reggae for the first year, hoping to relive those lost vibes (weed was my drug of choice). Dub was the vast majority of the reggae i consumed. When i found surround, i was saddened that so few reggae titles were available. Thank Jah for the Surround Master! All is well! Adrian Sherwood's production REALLY shines through the SM v.2: waves and waves of echo and reverb wash over me from all four corners of the room and dub touches bounce through my brain whilst Prince Far I's voice of thunder is firmly anchored up front, coming up at me from fathoms deep in the dub-a-delicious soundscape! HIGHly recommended for any dub heads out there!

Beefheart is A LOT of fun through the Surround Master, and these Record Store Day releases are chocked full of the Captain's weird wonderfulness! Rhythm guitar and lead are nicely separated and often coming kitty corner. Marimba, too, can be found front or rear and often moving from speaker to speaker. Van Vliet's distinctive vocals and harmonica solos are locked up front and drums are in the rears. The 2nd LP contains some cool instrumental versions and two "full-length" versions that are KILLER jams which straight up come ALIVE through the SM v.2. Dig the golden glow around the Captain on the cover photo – that's how this release feels through the Surround Master! @chucky3042 strikes AGAIN!

Bright electro-pop bathed in melancholy bouncing at me from all four corners of the room! This one is WAY too much fun through the Surround Master! Synth swells discretely washing over me bringing me surround joy! This Record Store Day double vinyl has a second slab of remixes that takes it to the next level. Really loving it on a rainy Sunday night.

Beyoncé's previous album, Renaissance, sounds fantastic through the Surround Master, so i thought i'd pick up act ii (aka Cowboy Carter) and run it through the SM v.2 – glad i did! The blue-eyed monster takes this double LP to the next level! Beyoncé's vocals are locked up front; background vocals are either in the rear or in all four speakers. Guitar picking often shows up in the rears, really immersing and engrossing me in the music. Percussion often pops up in the rear speakers as well. Synth swells come at me from all four speakers. I'm on my third listen to this beauty. My only gripe is the YouTube version has 27 tracks (my LPs have 19 tracks). Otherwise, BUCK IT! As @fredblue 's otter half would say, the SM really brings out "the bougie quality"!

This Vinyl Me, Please pressing sounds RIDICULOUSLY GOOD through the SM v.2! I know it was released as an SQ LP back in 1974. This pressing is pure cinematic surround bliss! Every motif emerges from a different corner of the room. The entire soundtrack is a straight-up discrete delight! It absolutely gob-smacked me how wonderful it sounds! Highest possible recommendation!!!

This amalgam of jazz and Afro-pop sounds spectacular through the Surround Master! The polyrhythmic percussion pulses from all four corners of my listening space! Vocals and solo horns are locked up front. Funky organ and piano are coming at me from behind whilst magnificent marimba dances across the front. Guitars and choruses of horns wash over me from all four corners. Another wonderful example of just what the blue-eyed wonder–the Surround Master–is capable of producing! Highly recommended.

Here's another one that was released in Quad back in '74. This remastered reissue sounds PHENOMENAL through the Surround Master! Ima just type away as track one plays: "Blue Lights"–so AWESOME! Franklin's bass is locked up front with the drums. Trumpet comes from rear right and sax from rear left. Funky rhythm guitar is also in the rear. Great electric piano solo rear right.
Oo! Next up is a Chick Corea composition, "What Was." Now i'm hearing drums in the rears . . . were they back here in track one and i missed them when concentrating on the horns?! The horns are behind me again. Great trumpet solo from Oscar Brashear rear right! The electric piano comps are washing over me seemingly from all over! The sax solo (Charles Owens) is rear left again. Cymbals are definitely ringing out behind me! Man, this tune is SMOKIN'! Franklin's bass drives this tune from the front! Great electric piano solo behind!!
Okay, i won't go track by track; you get the idea. And if you want to get something else, get a Surround Master and play Black Jazz Records releases through it! MAGNIFICENT! All HAIL @chucky3042 !

(y) helped ignite the Disco era with this gem!!!!

The descriptor "Discodelic Soul" is exactly what i hoped for when i put this on through the Surround Master. Main vocals are up front and ethereal harmonies float all four corners. Synth lines come simultaneously from all corners. The bass and drums thump and pound relentlessly from up front and rhythm guitars churn and comp from behind. The lavish production really shines through the Surround Master! Wonderful, witty lyrics throughout!
