thanks for the clarification. was sad when the E-Train derailed and AF didn't stop at Scheinerville anymore.

Up until the Toto project, the E-Train wasn't stopping anywhere. ES wasn't mixing or producing at all.
Good to see him back in action in the recording studio.

Yes, I know. I was told those squeaked through early on before the 5.1 door slammed tightly shut.

For now, more SACD titles - Stereo and Surround Sound - licensed from Sony Music are likely in the future.

Not a surprise since Sony co-developed the DSD and SACD formats with Philips.
And they've always been open to licensing albums for SACD release to the reissue companies going back to the original SACD format launch days.

As for Warner, 4.0 and 5.1 Surround SACDs from the reissue labels are less likely.

Any chance Dutton Vocalion UK would even consider the Project 3 / Enoch Light Catalog? Granted, he's not really relevant anymore, but his Quad mixes are some of the most extreme/aggressive and the musicianship is second to none!

The Project 3 Quad albums by Enoch Light would certainly fit well with the Easy Listening series of reissues in both Stereo and Surround Sound at Dutton/Vocalion.

It was Deodato "Prelude" that featured ASZ, Deodato 2 had Rhapsody in Blue...

Deodato Prelude and Deodato 2 would be an amazing two~fer QUAD SACD, IMO. Very melodic and excellent musicianship. It's criminal that SONY never released any CTIs on Stereo SACD*. Such a vibrant back catalogue of jazz titles.

[AFAIK, only Jim Hall's Concierto on CTI was released as a MoFi Stereo SACD and [Japan's King Records] DVD~A Stereo 192/24, but NOT by SONY]. https://www.hraudio.net/showmusic.php?title=1566

Don't forget the 40 Stereo DSD Downloads that eOnkyo in Japan released in 2014.
They are excellent!

Brian, I'm a PCM man ALL THE WAY and although those 40 CTI DSD downloads FROM SECOND GENERATION MASTERS (what happened to the first gen masters???????) sound tempting, I'm holding out for them to be released on physical disc [I know: FAT chance of THAT happening]. BTW, I wish George Benson's fantastic WHITE RABBIT would 'miraculously' be remixed for 4.0 or 5.1.......LOVE that album!

I wish D~V would consider releasing the two Neil Diamond QUADS....Serenade and A Beautiful Noise. Some notes on Serenade: http://iaisnd.com/neilquad.cfm

And while they're at it, how about Neil's lovely Grammy Award winning Jonathan Livingston Seagull soundtrack on Stereo SACD???????

Pretty Please.

I've been on a Neil Diamond kick this week and VERY highly recommend this chock filled 3 RBCD set of his complete UNI recordings (plus LIVE cuts) from 96/24 masters: https://www.amazon.com/Play-Me-Comp...ywords=Neil+Diamond+UNI+albums&tag=acleint-20

Brian....you and steelydave can become the new QUAD whisperers (to the powers that be @ D~V)!

There's a lot more in the Sony Music vaults that could be released by Dutton/Vocalion on Multichannel SACD.
But I am very pleased to see what has come out to date.

I'd second the motion for more..... :)

Well, then START WHISPERING.:teleport:

[Hopefully] coming in December of 2017: 12 more two~fer QUAD SACDs.:sun

ah.. maybe we should be careful with that speculating axe!? :D
when they say "Remastered from the original analogue master tapes by Michael J. Dutton" I took DV to mean the Quad master tapes rather than dubs?
also we don't know the source for "Wired", it might utilise the Quad masters (said to be damaged) and Sony Japan worked on them for that SACD (the damage may not have been beyond repair, physical or otherwise, just that other labels didn't want to apportion budget for that?) ah I dunno.. now I'm speculating wildly! loss of control, loss of control, loss of control, loss of control, loss of control, loss of controlllll....!!!!! :yikes
Happy NY matey :upthumb

You're right, of course. That'll teach me to drink and wildly speculate. What matters the most is that we get great sounding Quads.
