Wow, what a fantastic surprise! I've always loved the quad mix, excited to see how the new versions turn out.
You said its sjcorne! I almost couldn't believe my eyes when I saw today's email from sde.
I'd tried to get get the DVD /LP from 2012 for what seems like forever. Could never find it at a sane price.
Now this😀... I just ordered it!
Still waiting on my 'Concert for George' Blu-ray....it appears SDE can't combine shipping? Too bad.

I rate this as one of the most important of the old quad mixes from the 70s. Just below Aqualung, Paranoid, and WYWH, and maybe above any of the BOC or Aerosmith titles. One of the major 70s rock titles mixed well to quad.

In fact when Audio Fidelity issued the album on an audiophile disc and did not consider the quad mix which was available at the time - then AF launched quad layers just after, it was a real setback for them, lost momentum so sorry to say.

And at least we are now getting this out once more in hopefully a perfect transfer of the quad mix.

A few labels still believe in physical media as a profit endeavor.

I almost ordered two copies of this, but I got my senses back.

Somewhere over at SHF in the AF Gold A Space in Time thread, I mentioned to Steve that the quad mix of this album was a standard for others to be judged by and how it was created at the same time as the stereo, and it would be great if he could somehow get that quad remaster out on AF, and if I recall correctly, I was pretty much shut down hard. Oh well. Time has a way of fixing things! ;)

Then Audio Fidelity shut down and with it shut down hard one of SH's major clients.
