Two things,

First :
I'm surprised that so many QQ rs that know their fret work are not familiar with Ten Years After.
Alvin Lee was considered one of the top ten best for his time.

Anyway I recommend you all check out , Ten Years After albums on Deram to start ...such as ..Stonedhenge (Hear Me Calling) , Cricklewood Green , Watt , Shhhhh , and Alvin Lee And Company.
All masterpieces I think.
Then on to Chrysalis...with ..A Space In Time , maybe Positive Vibrations , Electric Recorded Live ..and most definitely...
Rock And Roll Music To The World ,(this one is a must , and like Ken says ..Sadly no quad , but there certainly should be)
and again all masterpieces !!!!....... (with the exception of Positive Vibrs)

Secondly :

I kinda overlooked the quad mix date as 73 , but I think it's much earlier.
I checked the quad inner sleeve notes with the advertisement on the newly released SQ albums from Columbia ,Epic etc dated 72 , two different versions yet and it lists the album as available .
And Billboard stated Columbia's first quad albums were released Stateside November 1971. I think it's remotely possible for 1973. 1972 more likely.
I know I know it shouldn't matter , because regardless it's still one the best quads mix wise , and I think it's SQ demonstration quality so the discreet will of course be the same.

Anyway enough of my ocd .

MOST IMPORTANTLY
All you guitarissimos should check out those aforementioned TYA Albums , I don't think I could recommend a band much higher for Alvin Lee.

Lastly the sleeve pic.
