I hope Detroit isn't reverting back to their old ways🤔 ...But they did need a RB with J. Williams leaving.... I was amazed at all the high draft picks Detroit had! Must have been via trades.
I saw on day 2 Lions took a qb.... I wish the Jets would just to get under Rodgers skin!!😄
...on a totally unrelated subject, I thought ESPN's draft coverage was terrible. Half the time they are talking about some folksy crap not related at all to a draft pick or football. What, the Jonas brothers? 😂LOL
I M O, most of the fans there are nuts! Makes me laugh for all the wrong reasons!

Hi Bobman
TOTALLY agree on the telecast. I watched a wee bit ---and it sucked. 5 minutes of dull and commercials. That was enough for me.
As far as Detroit needing a running back -NOPE. Not sure if you heard, they picked up David Montgomery from the Bears via free agency. Plus they have china doll D'Andre Swift ( soon to be traded....Im quite sure ), and a few other lesser known names. Unless this kid is the next Barry Sanders, this was a dumb move

Detroit got several of their extra picks from the sale of Stafford to the Rams. fyi

Bad TV: Yet another lost opportunity to catch up on our pile of DV quads.

That's because the draft itself is boring and really isn't watch-worthy. The NFL and ABC are trying to force it to be something it isn't (the old lipstick on a pig analogy). Fortunately they have the NFL faithful to tune in so it's going to get watched. Like I said above, I check in for a few minutes every half-hour or so, or just check out the ESPN app on my phone. I don't know most of these guys getting drafted anyway, and even if someone gets picked in the first round, it doesn't mean they are going to be a future star. I'm more interested in seeing what positions each team chooses more so than the player.

I've watched very little of the draft road show cuz it interferes with my prime time music & movies enjoyment. Most of what I've learned about it is based on the convo's here! I actually am looking forward to the next years Detroit location, again, based on posts made here.

But the draft is living up to its big business reputation & making money change hands. Esp good if you sell BBQ or have a taco food truck. The Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association says 71 TONS of meat was ordered beyond regular standing orders by local food joints to anticipate the need.

Here is a rather craptastic video of Motley Crew doing the post show performance:

And then in a few years we've got that soccer world cup thing coming to town. That's really crazy.... we have more than one full size pro soccer fields around here, indoor & out, but they are going to have it at Chiefs Arrowhead stadium. Presumably to sell most tickets possible. The ironic thing, as close to my understanding, as several rows of spectator seats will need to be removed to allow enlargement of the field, er, pitch I guess.

No Mick Mars, sad. Who is that, John 5? Sykes?

Congratulations @JohnN , the Leafs have finally gotten off the schneid.
Since 2004 - they did it for the Jets.

And of course the cameras keep showing Rodgers from time to time. He's already taken over New York, but he seems to have already forgotten that he physically PLAYS in New Jersey!!!
Rodgers is a part owner in the Milwaukee Bucks & would be shown, from time to time, @ Bucks games sitting court side.
Along side, often were his close friends, David Bakhtiari and Randall Cobb....just remember, the honeymoon is still on🤗...
I see 2 of the first 3 Jets draft picks were O linemen. Don't want him to get hurt, neither do I.
I want him to at lease take 65% of snaps. ( next years pick then becomes a #1).
That should be no problem. Rodgers never let anybody but him take snaps at GB! In regular season games, that is...

That swapping of 1st round draft picks in the GB/Jets trade, didn't seem to really help out GB much or hurt the Jets, if at all.
GB did get this really good edge rusher, Lukas Van Ness from Iowa. He could be a keeper...

President's Trophy choke here we come!
You called it. The Bruins got the NHL record in wins and points this year yet could not make it out of the first round.

Bruins had a 3-2 lead. Gave up the tying goal with a minute left, then succumbed in OT to a Panthers team that was lying in the weeds all season.

when the Panthers were up 2-0 I figured the Bruins were toast. But they came back and took the lead until choke number 2 ( prior to massive choke 3 - loss in OT )

To put the magnitude of this Bruins failure in perspective:

Bruins: 65-12-5 (0.844)
Points: 135
Best all-time NHL wins and points
Goals For/Against Differential: 177

Panthers: 42-32-8 (0.568)
Points: 92
Goals For / Against Differential: 17
Sneaked into playoffs by 1 point.

Bruins up in the series 3-1
Bruins ahead in Game seven 3-2; cough up tying goal with minute left and lose in OT

Yes, a choke of biblical proportions.

[Edit: No President's Trophy winner has won the Stanley Cup in 10 years. So more like a CURSE of biblical proportions!]

All three of the USA Today hockey experts are picking the Rangers to beat the Devils tonight. Talk about the kiss of death! And NJ Jets traitor Aaron Rodgers will be banned from the arena, so the Rangers won’t have their good luck charm. ;)

Really don't mind if you sit this one out, Boston (the beast of the east) go play golf.
Wow, Boston Bruins historic season comes to an early end.
So happy. Go Leafs Go, please. :ROFLMAO:

The list:
Go Leafs Go
Go Jays Go
Go Bills Go, Argos too
