Jets should split with Aaron Rodgers – right now – as next move in teardown

That's what GB did.... As I said sometime back on here, Rodgers got to be known as a 'coach killer' in GB.
That was long before this all started unravelling in NY.
What held the Packers back for sometime, as far as doing anything about it, were his 2 consecutive MVP seasons & his huge contract.
When GB finally as able to trade him to NY they still owed him something like $20M the next year even though he was no longer with them! That's dead cap money!
I was just reading what GB actually got for Rodgers. When it's all been said & done: it was 6 draft picks (6 players).
Not trying to be sarcastic but thanks goes out to the NY Jets & Woody Johnson!🤓

All & all, in many ways I still like & respect Rodgers as a person. At times he will fearlessly speak truth regardless.....

wow !! a clear headed RickyPicks joined us for dinner tonite and - naturally he and I discussed football. Here are his Picks for the week -

tonites game - Eagles
Green Bay at Soldier Field - Love is all around. Bad news for da Bears. da Bears season is in a downward spiral. So is Matts job. GreenBay by 13
Atlanta at Denver - lets repeat from last weeks RPs - " what fucking Denver team will show up " - The Broncos win this one
Sonik Chiefs versus Johnn Bills - what a game !!! will be a thriller - as much as RP says "Go Bills", the evil laugh wins out. KC stays undefeated
SeaTurds at Markie Nation - CM is fully back. Purdy has a bowl of Frosted Flakes for breakfast and gets his game back in sync. Niners win by 10
Jacksonville at Detroit. Never count out the under dog. Lets hope Goff remembers what team to throw the ball to this week. Lions by 10. JVille beats the spread
Oilers at CowGirls - Poor Jerry. And you thought the Bears were spiraling down ! Dallas loses again at home
Balt at Pitt - another great game. RP says the Steelers win ( wow ! )

Enjoy your games.

So how did RickyPicks do this week? A very, very good 6-2 from what I see.

The Jags did indeed beat the spread...the bed spread that is, because they didn't even show up for the game.

Great insight into the Broncos and Steelers wins.

However, a little bit of RP hubris was on display with that pick of the Chiefs on the road against the Bills.

Looking forward to next week's picks.
