I guess that could mean they have more restored sounds from the audience (claps, whistles, shouts...), as they have done with the in-between commentary. Or it could mean what we fear. The word ambience is a red flag.

It might just mean that the multitracks included a recording of the room sound, which wasn't mixed much into the original release but is more prominent in the new mix.

IOW, not artificial ambience. Just a different mix choice.

I'm waiting for reviews of this one before purchasing. I've already got the CD and it sounds fine for what it is. The LAST thing I want to hear is more audience noise during the songs. Although the last GG gig I attended many years ago was obnoxiously loud - I couldn't hear anything but the band.

Usually it means that 3 or 4 much taller than me stand in front of me and keep moving about so I see very little of the band on stage

Same, waiting for reviews. Though for me, it's for fear of only audience in the surrounds and echo in the heights.
