AR, it sounds like a tough one to swallow...& the D had been the strength of the team!
I didn't see the game but if GB played that way it would drive me nuts!😕

Bob, you are not a Jets fan. We have been trained to expect stuff like this. Somewhere along the line, the Jets organization with a great pedigree from circa 1969 went totally down the crapper and became, "Same Old Jets."

I actually enjoy watching the games because of how the Jets find new ways of losing regardless of who is on the team. Think about it. The Jets traded Leonard Williams in 2019 for a couple of lousy draft picks. Yesterday, he sacked Aaron Rodgers twice and intercepted him for a 92 yard pick-six that totally changed the momentum. This was the first TD of Williams' career, and he did it in the stadium of the team that dumped him.

[Edit: I forgot to mention that Williams also blocked an extra point. He is the first player since 1982 to have multiple sacks, an interception, a TD and a blocked kick in the same game. An ex-Jet doing it to the Jets, no less.]

Hey Woody, go back to selling talcum power...

I thought it might be interesting to share a few details of where you live.

This is where I live, Wantage, the birth place of King Alfred.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wantage
I don’t recall being in Wantage, but I have been to Oxford. We stopped in a pizza parlor, figuring “college town, pizza, what can go wrong?” Ended up with a deep-dish pizza (fine) but the black olives were whole and included the pits, which you had to find with your teeth.

And, of course, driving on the wrong side of the road (opinions varied as to who thought I was on the wrong side of the road - sometimes I thought I was on the wrong side of the road, sometimes other drivers felt that way.)

you appear to be Lions 1957-2023 pedigree. You sure you weren't born in Michigan ?

No, my pedigree goes back to this place:

It seems that my attraction to ruins applies to both my ancestral homeland and pro football teams.

If you haven't already done so, I highly recommend watching the Colts / Patriots highlights. It was a very exciting game. Both teams made mistakes at times, but it was back and forth all the way. @beerking and @esimms86 , I assume you saw the game.

Yes, I saw the game. The Pats deserved to lose because penalties kept costing them points and their kicker **** the bed. Indy deserved to win because they were the hungrier team.

You got it, Doc. What these highlight never seem to show is the idiotic penalties that essentially cost teams the game. Coaches like Belichick would make players sit for committing bonehead penalties...no matter what. The Jets interim head coach kisses them on the forehead and says, "That's alright Johnny. Try to do better next time." Ugh.

Also, there seems to be a plague affecting NFL place kickers right now. A lot of kicks are getting blocked or missed. Geez, look at Justin Tucker.

Chicago Bears this coming Sunday at 49ers. Come on Chicago, get us now while we are down and out.
Wait till next year baby.

Still hoping for:
Eagles/Lions NFC Championship=Lions win.
Bills/Chiefs AFC Championship=Bills win.

Super Bowl

Looking for that Lions - Chiefs Superbowl

I’m sorry Ricky but the Bills are playing like a Super Bowl bound team. No way that KC should be sitting at #1 seed. I think that Ricky just wants to kick Sonik’s ass.
Can you say "ass" on this forum anymore?

As the game went on I went downstairs for some Basia & Matt Bianco. But it's been fun catching up on the details this morning.
