1) If the playoff seedings remain as they are this morning, the Wild Card round will feature yet another Harbaugh Bowl.

2) Despite the obvious choice that it was RickyPicks, it was actually the indefatigable Doug Flutie who successfully executed a drop kick for an extra point for the Pats on January 1, 2006. It was the first time since 1941.

Apparently I've given up on the Bears season. I didn't even know they played. lol Turns out, they didn't play. :hi:censored:
Good one, Gene! When the Bears were on offense, the camera crew could have simply focused their equipment on the Bears backfield and gone away for some refreshments. I can’t recall seeing a QB under this level of siege in many years.

Perhaps Da Bears should sit Caleb out for the next game to protect their investment.

It was his last official play in the NFL. Prior to his last stint with the Pats as backup to Brady, he played for the Bills. He was the last QB to get the Bills to the playoffs for the next 17 years. That period of time is known around these parts as "The Drought". Like most Bills QBs he has his own cereal.... Flutie Flakes of course.

I understand that the Bills owner insisted, despite Flutie’s success that year, he be benched in favor of Robo-Sack Johnson. The Bills lost that wild card game to the Titans…and the 17 year hex ensued.

 Helping me remember: Flutie steals show as Argonauts honour past Grey Cup champs

Experts update Bills-Jets prediction and stat projections after All-Pro’s surprise injury DNP

Rainy conditions and unseasonably warm temperatures are also set to play a significant role in Sunday’s Bills vs. Jets matchup.
The National Weather Service projects a high of 55 degrees with winds out of the south at 8 mph and an 80% chance of rain in Buffalo on Sunday afternoon, potentially impacting passing efficiency and overall scoring.
According to betting analysts, rainfall decreases passing production by roughly 12%, while wind speeds above the NFL average of 7 mph further reduce both passing efficiency and production. These weather factors have already influenced projections, with experts anticipating a heavier reliance on the run game and shorter passing plays, making the weather a key storyline heading into this critical AFC East showdown.

AR.. You were close, RickyPicks would have loved to have tried a drop kick but would have whiffed on it.
I would have guessed Gifford....
...a Bears related side note on this: When Jim McMahon was a back up QB with the Packers '95-'96.
Once in an interview with Holmgren, I heard Jim let him know that he'd like to attempt a drop kick for an extra point or FG if there was a game that the Packers were way ahead in. (I guess he was quite a depth at it.) Holmgren thought he was nuts & never took him up on the offer.😀 I'd have like to have seen that!

....Here's a good trivia ? .. How many Superbowl rings does Jim McMahon have?....The answer is 2. One in 1985 with Chicago & one 1996 with GB😯.
FWIW- Flutie was McMahon's backup in Chicago. I seemed to recall him playing with them in the '86 season. He looked too small out there & overall sucked. So even back then, what was new for the Bears?

Gene, the Bears need a HC who can motivate them. Here's a guy that could have gotten the job done!
This would have been Coach Farley after his kicker got the FG blocked by GB......

The motivational Santa is the best😂!

@Imbobman Bobby, you dont have time to be playing on the internet. Git yer arse up to GreenBay and get those boys pumped up to THRASH the Vikings. Results Through Motivation.
