2 outside shows in Florida during late June :howl .........tooo freaking hot out for that!! Pass

Anyone here at Monday nights Steven Wilson concert in Quebec Monday night. Would love to hear about it.. I'm going to Toronto show at Massey Hall Tuesday night. Looking forward to it.

Will be at Massey hall tonight also. Managed to get floors on the right side. Have seen all of his solos plus 3 PT concerts, and still going back for more! Have to support the artist ya' know.

Haha I'm on the floor. Right side. Six rows back. Going with my daughter. Her first Steven Wilson concert. Should be interesting.

I am feeling better now and so I bought a ticket for SW in Chicago next week, March 8th! Very excited to see an updated version of the 2015 tour (saw 3 times) and the possibility of seeing 4-1/2 material live.

Is Chicago show sold out???

The first night was canceled due to Steven's illness so they refunded that show and lifted up to people to secure tickets for the second night. Fortunately I bought a ticket for the second night and it was awesome.

They both released solo albums years ago

Yeah...
My Favorite Headache has a few great songs, but overall is a bit of a snooze. Played it way too safe and only a few tracks have stand-out bass work. He wanted to front himself as a singer-songwriter.
Victor is very weird and a bit dark at times, but is very, very interesting. It's less cohesive than MFH, but takes risks and ultimately is the more interesting project.

And Neil appears on both Burning for Buddy tributes, as well as on one or two Vertical Horizon albums.

There are more than a few other guest appearances and various one-offs, like Alex playing on Fear of a Blank Planet.

If they hire a singer, yes.

You know, it's comments like that which make me really hope that RUSH just retire for good, because no matter what they do, so many of their fans are never satisfied.
Many are angry and sad that RUSH are now going off the road, and yet whenever they did tour, all many fans did over the past five or so years was complain about how terrible Geddy's singing sounded.
It's totally unrealistic to expect every 60+ year old singer to sound just like they did when they were in their 20s and 30s.
Not only does the voice change as we get older, but in Geddy's case, he's matured as a singer, to the point where even if he could, he's not going to screech and scream in the style that he sang in over those first 6 RUSH albums.

I for one had an amazing time at all five RUSH concerts I attended since 2008, with R40 being the best.
I'm so glad that they have decided to stop touring while they were still at the top of their game, and I wish them all the best as they enjoy that R&R. :)

Opera singers keep their voices almost intact...because they don't shriek (which tears your vocal chords to shreds)....
Many singers still can sing even by punishing their voices (especially smokers like Robin Zander...and RIP , Dio), but that's just asking for it...
What most smart artists do is find a voice coach once they have some money , and LEARN how to sing like opera singers (although I can't stand her, Madonna is a good example...she got a voice coach and there is a HUGE difference between "Lucky Star" and her later stuff...

Yep, that would be my only gripe about Rush live now...Geddy's non-voice...which is VERY curious because his TALKING voice sounds like always...

I'm 60 and my talking voice is normal, but you don't want to hear me sing. Okay, maybe the world NEVER needed to hear me sing  But there is a big difference now between my regular voice and anything in the higher octaves, so I'm seeing first hand what it must be like to someone like Geddy who used to climb that ladder before.

For upcoming gigs, I have tickets to see James Taylor in June, this will be my first time, really looking forward to a relaxing evening of JT. :music
