Much rather buy from a local independent store instead of a billionaires business.....
Me too. But my local small-town indie record store owner once told me that while he appreciates that kind of thinking (and the customer loyalty), special orders these days are actually more pain-in-the-ass than profit for him. His margin just isn't big enough to make it worthwhile.

A truly sad reality ….. but he speaks the truth!

I see Amazon lowered their price to $27.99. So, with price guarantee, I'll get that "reduced" price.
I was charged $29.98...I don't pay enough attention but I suspect it's not the first time Amazon lowered the price immediately after shipping pre-orders...

Much rather buy from a local independent store instead of a billionaires business.....but, Amazon w/ free shipping, is delivering mine today. Only problem amazon just opened a huge warehouse a mile or so from me. That means the drivers route starts further away from me and ends back at the warehouse, so Iam one of his/her last deliveries, 8 or 8:30
Same here, soon as they opened a warehouse 10 minutes away that pretty much guaranteed late evening deliveries.
And the few friends and family that took jobs there didn’t stay long.

I think Amazon does this all too often. I usually buy when I can from ImportCDs, Amazon only if I have to or if they have listed a too great to pass up pre-order price (which they don't)

Make it like, a really lame, uncustomized order then. That should be cheaper.
