Perhaps, but it IS based on comic book characters, after all.Finally watched Penguin Episode 1 on HBO and agree Colin Farrell's portrayal is Emmy worthy but felt the ending was totally implausible wherein his young Latin protege flawlessly delivers the body in the trunk to the mafia estate replete with missing pinky finger and the warning sign PAYBACK inscribed on the inside of the trunk!

Yeah, I caught the first episode; thought similar to the AHS style for sure. Is it the same showrunners???. Some of the AHS stuff is OK, but a lot of it is just too intense for me; just don't want all that ultra creepy stuff crawling around in my brain

I thought the characters were well etched out especially the bat shit crazy nun and the self flagellating priest and the detective and her off the wall family! Yes, it was grisly especially Episode II and look forward to all succeeding episodes!
