They released a slew of MQA~encoded RBCDs in Japan....mostly albums that have already been released in various forms on SACD [or SHM~SACD]. I'd wait for reviews before making the plunge. There's a lot of pros and cons with the MQA process.
Believe me... I’m not going out of my way to purchase anything MQA related. ;)

A quick update on this:
I switched my "Imagine" box set pre-order to amazon.com since they lowered the price to $80.74 and provided an additional $5.27 in savings at checkout. It pretty much evened out with my original amazon.co.uk preorder, and I will have it on release day!
Also, I finally put in a pre-order for "Sunburst Finish" on amazon.co.uk since their price is currently better than amazon.com

:)
Sunburst Finish is currently ,$49.99 US at importcds.com

I’m curious........why don’t you purchase from IMPORT? I can probably guess but I’d like to know your reason. For me it’s their customer service I don’t really like. The best 2 companies I’ve ever dealt with for customer service are Amazon. UK and Apple

Still filling in the gaps in my collection...

DSOTM and WYWH Immersion sets....check
Close to the Edge and Fragile BRs....check

Just ordered the Allman Brothers Band "Idlewild South" 3-disc deluxe set. This is a no-brainer for me...ABB is one of my all-time favourite bands and I have all the other surround releases so far (Fillmore and Eat a Peach SACDs, Fillmore 3xBlu-Ray set). Just read on another thread that the 5.1 mix on this is extremely discrete, so I am very curious to hear it. It was always a good-sounding album, but perhaps lacking a little in power compared to the debut and Eat a Peach. Wonder how the 5.1 makes it feel.
The bonus material is just that...a bonus. I already have the old 2-CD release of Ludlow Garage, but this one has an extra track, so all in all this wraps up a lot of loose ends.

What next...? I still need some more of mr Wilson's remixes. Yes album, Topgraphic Ocean, Relayer...I don't have any Gentle Giant or Tull...and I'm still missing a couple XTC releases. Oh, and I passed on the Pink Floyd Early Years box. Not much surround content, but still...
The one big album I am kicking myself for missing though is AF's Billy Cobham's Spectrum SACD. As a huuuuge jazz-rock/fusion fan, this one is kind of obligatory. Anyone have a copy to sell?

Nice! It might've been my post that mentioned it.

Idlewild South is a bit wacky/quirky if you have certain expectations of a 5.1 mix (drums and bass upfront, supporting parts in rear, etc)- it's mixed more like a vintage quad that emphasizes the four corner positions. There's even a nice 360 pan in the opening track.

Lead vocals and some organ spotlights are completely isolated in the center channel. If neither of those are present- the center channel is not used. For the entirety of "In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed", there is NO center channel activity whatsoever.

The two lead guitars are place left center and right center- I didn't love this when I first heard it, I would've preferred if they were more discrete up front or in the rear only. But I've actually come to enjoy it, it sort of makes them seem bigger in comparison to other parts, as they should be. Keys, on the other hand, are very discrete in right rear.

The part I think most people take issue with is the diagonally opposed drummers: the main drum track must've been recorded in mono (I think this an 8-track recording), and they're always in right front. But there is also a percussion overdub (bongos, cowbell, etc), that's very discrete in left rear. Some have advocated for swapping the left channels so both drummers are up front.

Personally I think the SACD's of Eat A Peach and Live At The Fillmore are pretty boring compared to their quad counterparts. The quad Live At The Fillmore was released as a DTS-CD in the late '90s, definitely worth adding to your collection. That mix puts you right on stage in the middle of the band, with the lead guitars isolated in each rear speaker.

I'm still waiting for Brothers & Sisters- either the unreleased quad or a new 5.1...
