A couple of weeks ago, I was bidding on a set of Taiwanese SQ LPs. There were 12 of them. Unfortunately, they were sold separately and only about 2 minutes apart. My adrenaline was pumping biding on them, so I managed to acquire them, so here they are. The LPs were in EX condition.

Hey BBQ, nice stuff my man!

I'm interested in that Los Machucambos title. Looks like yours is the French from Decca, and I also see a London Records from Columbia.

There's even Apple audio samples on the discogs (stereo of course.)

Here's another Tony Mottola I just got in (a sealed copy.) What's unusual about this one, is what you sometimes get with these 'Project 3 Total Sound' Quad titles that utilize a stereo cover "SD" (this one is "PR 5032 SD"; but it has a sticker on it indicating "QS-4 CHANNEL QUADRAPHONIC"

So actually I consider this a bit of a gamble, and I only went for this one off of discogs since it was listed as original "Sealed"

As I cut the outer wrapping off, I held my breath for a moment until I saw the LP label with the "PR 5032 QD" on it.
I was clear then to let out a gruff "Hmm Uhm" like Karl Childers

While I worked on the front cover artwork of this one today; I also thought, how depending on a persons monitor set-up for color temperature, you may see some of these types of colors slightly differently. The cover has an almost iridescent glow to it. I tried my best, given what I see on my monitor, to match the actual colors. It has been of course substantially cleaned up from how it looks with some 53 years of aging on it. I feel it's a rather interesting and striking cover, one that might find it's way to being framed some day for wall art.

If the sticker is there, trust it. The record's label will also say the record is 4 channel. If the suffix on the record number is QD, the record is either QS or EV. The sticker will correctly indicate which it is.

But seriously, have you ever noticed some of these Project 3 titles being mastered a little on the HOT side, especially the Mottola’s?
