yyyyesssssss..!! :D

just one of those fluke things, i was up in town and popped into a 2nd hand record shop, flicked through the "T's" and there they were, one after the other, all in a little clutch, the 3 TH DVDA's I didn't have, one @£7, the other two @£8 each, all new/sealed all with little white promo stickers on the rear art (no saw cuts or drill holes though).. I had to pop for a pint round the corner to get over the shock! :friday:

Astonishing! Great find!

I already had the old SACD to put my box set DTS Layla in (and did just that! i think i posted about it on here!?).. I like your way of thinking! ;)

that Martin Taylor goes for a pretty penny now! :p
must be the only Linn that's highly sought after.!?!?@:

Yeah - Linn sacds usually are a dime a dozen....

To be honest I bought it because a) I'm a big fan of The Enid and Robert John Godfrey did some writing with BJH before they had a bust up and b) it was new and c) it was cheap! ;)

fair enuffski (y)

I only bought it (the day it came out) because I'm a completist nutjob who has to have everything in surround ever! :yikes

BUSTED!

The Vicar Chronicles arrived today! First listen reveals an adventurous mix and excellent fidelity. I'm not sure I get the juxtaposition of the Punk Sanderson "skater" graphic comics with the chamber pop style of the music but visuals aside it's aurally impressive. I'll need a few more listens before a final disposition but it's pretty positive so far.

Snap!! Just got it as well.......

oh AND your Layla is in the super jewel box! (harder to find nowadays than the BMG Direct SACD that came in regular CD jewel case!) :worthy
Other than the two titles pictured, did BMG Direct do any others in regular CD cases?

Yeah - I'd label it "Schizophrenic Chamber Pop"...

not to my knowledge. their other SA-CDs all came in SJB's afaik.

several Universal SA-CDs (in the rounded SJB's) I've received the BMG Direct CDs in error over the years from sellers in the U.S.A who listed them as SA-CDs ("Dredg - El Cielo" the last in too long a line where that happened to me being among them) but I think that was just coincidence rather than they're actually being BMG's in regular CD cases of those titles.

here's a little bit of curious related discussion from the past over at SHF.. it appears some Living Stereo SA-CDs from BMG Direct turned out to be redbook!

That's service...

For those who care: They are all retail stock copies. No manufactured for BMG versions.

Lizard King...love your avatar...awesome disc and very unorthodox yet effective mix....ahhhh and to think that "Black Cherry" was also mixed in Surround....but has yet to see the light of day!!!!
