Lizard King...love your avatar...awesome disc and very unorthodox yet effective mix....ahhhh and to think that "Black Cherry" was also mixed in Surround....but has yet to see the light of day!!!!

I'd love to have the Black Cherry mix...

I had Supernature on NTSC DVD, but managed to get the SACD version also....

Reflections - Paul Van Dyk (Hybrid MultiChannel SA-CD),
The Battle For Everything - Five For Fighting (Dolby D. 5.1 DualDisc),
The Silent Force - Within Temptation (DTS 5.1 DualDisc).

"Felt Mountain" was also slated for 5.1 SA-CD release, repurposed from the stereo into faux-5.1, afaik.

Had "Black Cherry" on heavy rotation back in the day.. would've loved to hear it in 5.1.. stuff like "Hairy Trees" was made for surround! sumptuous.. sensuous.. sexy.. but still stereo..

the Within Temptation is Dolby Dirge-it-all after all..! :p

Been a bit quiet of late, but this just plopped through my letterbox...

Packaging is a bit flimsy, but nice enough. Shame there's no stereo version, be it via a download or some such. Would be nice to have a version in my iTunes for casual listening. But then, I guess that's why I pay Spotify £9.99 a month ;)

First impressions... a spacious mix that makes good use of the platform :)

When I first started getting SACDs 10 years ago, I never thought I'd own so much bloody Phil Collins in surround! :yikes @:

Haha! :)

You know, I've never gotten all the anti Phil Collins thing. A friend of mine used to roadie for Genesis in the early days (he is the spit of Steve Coogan's Saxondale character!) and despises the post Gabriel incarnation, calling them Phil Collins' Backing Band. However, Collins is, without a doubt, one of the finest drummers ever, a hugely successful songwriter and one member of a very exclusive club of people who have sold over 100 million albums both as part of a band and as a solo artist, the other two members being Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson. So he found a successful formula and mined it. Listening to his body of work, there are some amazing songs in there :)

Just saying ;)

Bob Dylan arrived today. I've played disk 2 so far. Limited Edition no. 2001 (A Space Odyssey). Comes in the same type of case Sony used for Sopranos Pepper & Eggs double SACD.

oh I don't hate him at all, he's a wonderful drummer, look who Zeppelin called upon for Live Aid!

its his kinda whiny "rock voice" on more uptempo stuff I have "issues" with, there's not a lot of power there when a big belty vocals called for.. though he's growing on me as the years go by :p

I've one mate in particular who goes mad whenever I bash PC, he thinks he's the best thing on a pair of legs!@:

Things I've purchased recently:

-N.E.R.D. In Search Of DVD-A
-Marvin Gaye Collection DVD-A
-Depeche Mode Violator DTS
-Nine Inch Nails Downward Spiral SACD
-Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon SACD

The Marvin Gaye's one of my faves! Great 5.1 mix! (y)

Never could get my head round the N.E.R.D. (musically) though the mix is alright. If you dig the music, you'll be made up!
