I don't remember who, but someone mentioned secondspin.com somewhere on the forum, so thanks! Got a good deal on these three discs.

Vespertine is DEFINITELY worth getting on DVD-A /the Dual Disc is reasonable facsimile, but the DVDA is a WINNER!!!

I've already got the DD of Vespertine. It's probably my least favorite of the four, just in terms of the music, but the surround is really nice. My set up is pretty rudimentary and I don't have a means to play DVDAs. I don't really consider myself an audiophile, so I'm more interested in the music (although I must admit, the Beck Seachange BRD sounds tremendous). Perhaps some day I'll get the chance to upgrade the equipment, but for now I'm just enjoying listening with what I have.

Super Audio CD Ultimate Collection - Various Artists' Groove Note/Sony sampler (Hybrid MultiCh SACD)*
(* 2 selections stereo only, the rest is St/Mch.).

I've wanted this promo for quite some time (primarily for the Eva Cassidy track which isn't otherwise available on SACD, albeit Stereo only) but it's been impossible to find (same old story, eh?) so when it came up the other day for £20 quid, hey presto!! :D

..I don't have to look into my "Crystal Ball" to know that you'll eventually wind up with a DVD-A capable system (and a BD too)..welcome to the club...

Björk: Vespertine (Hybrid SACD)

I was just browsing through a record shop here on this snowy day...and there she was. I've always thought Björk's music was interesting and often very beautiful.

But... WoW! In surround this one sounds even more amazing! It's really nice to see (hear) an artist put this kind of effort into a full blown surround mix of her music.

How wonderful it would be if more musicians did the same.

Good to know, I have "always" been interested in Stork, or whatever her name is. (LMAO) But, never listened, or bought any on a whim. I'll have to get to youtube and see what this sounds like....

Time to brush up on your Kölsch Adam.....

HAHA! ;) Is that what it is!? I know I'm eating my words, I vowed not to splurge on the SACD after I couldn't get my head around the singing.. but when I see these rarer Euro SACD things for the £20-ish mark I have to go for it now, you never know when you're going to find another one in that price range these days! That's my excuse anyway! :p
