Windows 11 is out today. Is there any reason for QQers to upgrade from Windows 10?

Yes. See the answer to this question, esp the part about re-downloding the license from your account. You shouldn't need to buy DVDAE again.

I agree with you 100%. It's my fault for trying to fix things with money. I will read your supplied article and I will wait for the new answer to my support ticket.

I know there are many who Windows 11 has been a breeze, but I have talked to just as many and Windows 11 definately having some problems that 10 didnot have, I can testify to that. Funny thing I am only doing the same things that I did with conversion to 10, which was seamless.
I'm not worried as I never give up and have confidence to overcome, but man.

OK, I have a stupid little question about my Network IP address. I have it on my desktop.
It will not stay on my network tree when I turn off my PC, I have to right click and either Pin to Quick Access or Pin To Start, shouldn't it just stay, on the network tree, 2nd picture?
Bottom picture, perfect, but when I turn off PC, I have to do again? Never had this on 10.

This is the problem I still have. I noticed it after the most recent Windows 11 update. My Windows 10 computers don't have this issue, neither do my OPPO players, my Android phones, my two 4K Firesticks and my smart TV's.

As I don't share any files stored on my Windows 11 laptop (all my media files are stored on an NAS), it's not an issue for me, indeed I would prefer my laptop to be completely invisible to all my other devices!

Here's ticket from DVDAE, hopefully this will work, at least there answering quite well.
I feel like I have done this already, but hopefully I goofed up and this is the answer.

Your Machine ID is the 20 digit string shows on the register window, which pops up when you start DVDAE and click Register Now. It's in your screenshot 4.

You'll need to assign that ID to your license by clicking at the re-assign link, then click the download license button to download a new license file. Finally, open register window again, click the browse button, navigate to and select the dvdae.lic file you've just download to use it.

This sort of thing happens with ALL operating systems. Mobile phone OS's are far worse for dropping compatibility with 'apps’.
I’ve had the opposite problem. Apps that stop working because I needed an “upgrade,” but the iOS wouldn’t accept it.

Planned obsolescense. Just got a new iPad yesterday and now I have to remember all those passwords.

Finally DVD Audio Extractor fixed, final support ticket was the answer. I was so nervous, but when you hit that last click and whatever it is comes on and works, it's a shock, wait, does it really work.
Anyway I have a long list of Windows 11 things I have overcome, I could stop now cuz I do think everything is functioning correctly, but I am not satisfied with the appearance of the actual PC layout, all the apps are fine and this is over one work PC and two home PC's, a OPPO 105, for ripping SACD. Four machines not including a host of apps.
There is no way I am going to start a rabbit hole now and try and clean up the appearance of Windows File Explorer.
I know that some of you have jumped on Garry's NUC/KODI thing but I am diehard JRiver and my final piece I purchased yesterday was my audio rack PC FANLESS PC. I have the Windows 10 version and it has been flawless, I talked to tech yesterday and he said I don't really need to purchase a new one as I can just upgrade what I have, but I am so paranoid as I upgraded my work PC and that has how this whole 3 month mess started.
